Hey LG, kudos for keeping the G Pad GPE updated with the monthly security patches

Apparently, Artem has an LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition, or as we lovingly call it LGGPGPE, sitting somewhere on a desk or a drawer. I'm not sure what he uses it for, but I know that he keeps receiving updates for the monthly security patches on it.

So how old is the LGGPGPE? It was released in December of 2013, so it's technically not 3 years old just yet. But it had a short-lived stay on the Play Store: it was removed in June of 2014, which means that it's been out of the Store for more than 2 years now.

[Deal Alert] Expansys USA Is Selling The GPE HTC One M7, Galaxy S4, And LG G Pad 8.3 In Addition To The Z Ultra At Steep Discounts

Google officially pulled the HTC One M7, Galaxy S4, Xperia Z Ultra, and LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition devices from the Play Store not too long ago. Since then we've seen a couple of them pop up on sale across various distributors. When an eBay seller offered the Galaxy S4 for $499 ($150 off) last month, we considered that a deal. Before that, Expansys USA offered the Z Ultra for the low price of $349, $100 less than what Google last asked for it. As it turns out, that latter device isn't alone. Expansys USA is selling the other three departed GPE devices as well, and all are going for drastically reduced prices.

Verizon Announces The LG G Pad 8.3 LTE, Available In Stores And Online March 6th

We received a tip last week suggesting that Verizon Wireless planned to release the LG G Pad 8.3 with LTE (or the LGGPLTE for short, differentiating it from the LGGPGPE) on March 6th. Today, that leak's been confirmed. Verizon has announced that the tablet will launch on said day for $99.99 with a new two-year activation, with this price lasting for the first four days of availability. After that, it will go up to $199.99.

This is largely the same device we're already familiar with, just with an LTE radio and a Verizon logo where the LG one used to be.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 And LG G Pad 8.3 Tipped For March 6th Release

Verizon may have taken forever to offer the current Nexus 7, but if this leak is to be believed, the carrier won't take nearly as long to pick up the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. According to a leaked internal document, the tablet is scheduled to become available on March 6th. It's not alone, either. The LG G Pad 8.3 is set to launch on the same day.

Leaked Photos Show A Verizon Wireless Variant Of The LG G Pad 8.3

LG's flagship tablet (and currently the company's only one) is certainly making headlines today. Just this morning we saw an impressive $100 off deal for the WiFi version, and now it looks like there's a carrier variant in the works. The reliable Evleaks posted photos of a G Pad 8.3 with Verizon's telltale branding, indicating that the tablet will be coming to Big Red sometime in the future.

The G Pad 8.3 has been generally well-received, though the hardware has been given higher marks than LG's customized version of Android 4.2.

[Deal Alert] Original LG G Pad 8.3 Available For $50 Off At Best Buy And eBay, Making Its Price $299.99

The LG G Pad 8.3 entered the Play Store nearly a week ago, becoming the first Google Play Edition tablet and the closest thing you can get to an 8-inch Nexus. Unfortunately, this model is no cheaper than the original, and at $349 for 16GB, it's over $100 more expensive than the Nexus 7. But here's the deal - if you don't mind using a G Pad 8.3 with LG's less-than-stellar custom software, or you're up for installing a custom ROM yourself, then you might like to know that you can get the original G Pad 8.3 for $299.99 from eBay and Best Buy.

LG Makes The Google Play Edition G Pad Official, Available Now On Google Play For $350

Just this morning it was discovered that the long-rumored LG V510 isn't actually a Nexus tablet, but a Google Play Edition of the LG G Pad 8.3. Since the cat's basically out of the bag, LG decided now would be a good time to go ahead and make it official – the G Pad 8.3 will be the first Google Play Edition tablet.

For those who may not be familiar with the G Pad 8.3, it's a fantastic piece of LG hardware with an 8.3-inch display, 2GB RAM, a Snapdragon 600 processor, and 16GB of internal storage. The GPE version of the device will of course launch with stock Android 4.4 as the operating system.
