Verizon announced the Droid Incredible 4G LTE back in May, and... well, that's it. We haven't heard anything else about the device since (on an official level, anyway), even though it was supposed to be available in "the coming weeks" after the announcement. In all fairness, "weeks" could be any range of time, but we generally think of that as two or three, not seven or nineteen.
Finally, though, a probably release date has leaked. Read More
In all honesty, I get a little more excited than I probably should when it seems like someone's marketing department has accidentally revealed juicy details. Today, after seeing Jelly Bean 4.1 teased in a thumbnail image and checkout page (which was quickly redacted), it seems that Sprint may have let slip the existence of a white version of the HTC EVO 4G LTE. In a banner found on the Now Network's website earlier today, we see a white Samsung Galaxy SII (nothing surprising there) right next to a white and silver version of the EVO LTE. Read More
About a month ago, Motorola updated its Ice Cream Sandwich update timeline. While we've already seen one update go live on schedule, we're still waiting on official word for the rest of the handsets on the list. Late last night, however, an ICS ROM for the Droid Bionic surfaced, and it seems to be a mostly-complete build.
Flashing this is extremely risky, and could potentially brick your device. You've been warned!
Sometimes confirmations come from the strangest of sources.
The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has just approved a CMDA version of the Samsung Galaxy SIII (SCH-I535), all but guaranteeing its arrival on Verizon.
Earlier this month a device with the model number SCH-I535 appeared in a NenaMark benchmark test. The device was using the Qualcomm Adreno 225 GPU and was Verizon branded. We suggested that the US version of the Galaxy SIII was likely to use the Snapdragon S4 chip, and the benchmark appears to confirm this theory. Read More
As you probably know, the full Galaxy S III ROM leaked over the weekend. Naturally, users over the XDA forums started picking it apart and making al the goodies available for download. In fact, we've already taken an in-depth look at S-Voice.

They're nothing insanely profound here, but we all love new alarms, notifications, ringtones, and wallpapers from new gadgets - especially high end pieces of kit. Read More
Hey kids! Looking for an early taste of the new Touchwiz? Well you're in luck! A leaked Galaxy S III ROM is out in all it's bandwidth crushing glory! A whopping 800MB download awaits those eager to get their hands on Samsung's latest.
The Galaxy S III and its new version of Touchwiz will make about a million additions to Android. Somewhere in this download are things like S-Voice (a Siri-style virtual assistant), Pop-up Play (a floating video window), and Smart Stay (which uses the front facing camera to refresh the screen timeout), just to name a few. One of the things that we didn't have chance to cover at Samsung's Galaxy S III event last week was the presence of Flipboard on all of the demonstration units on show. Naturally, this has led to speculation that the release of Flipboard for the rest of the Android community may be coming soon - Flipboard's website says that it "will be available on select Android mobile phones" in the coming months - but you won't have to wait and find out, as the .apk file has already been taken from the Galaxy S III and shared for other Android users to install. An eager, eagle-eyed XDA member spotted a Google ad while searching for "xperia ion" that may be showing AT&T's hand concerning the release date of said device. One of a few ads that appear when searching for the device states that the Xperia Ion is "Coming Exclusively to AT&T in June." Well, that narrows it down a bit!
The ad doesn't give a specific date, but it does narrow down the date range significantly. Read More
