[Updated] More Motorola Droid 4 Pics Leak, Looks Like A Bloated Droid Bionic With A Keyboard

What do you get when you take a Droid Bionic, slap a keyboard on it, and give it the bloat (physically - not bloatware) treatment? The Droid 4! This phone was originally said to be like the "Droid RAZR with a keyboard," but we see nothing RAZR about this behemoth. We'll start off gently - but brace yourself, it gets pretty ugly.

Update: Just realized that this is a dummy unit (not sure how I overlooked that the first time around), so that means it may not the exact size of the actual Droid 4. We'll just have to wait and find out.

Motorola Droid Bionic And Atrix 2 Fastboot Files Leak – Come Back From Soft Brick In A Snap

Hot on the heels of the Droid Razr's leaked fastboot files, two more Motorola devices can now be restored to stock configuration in case of emergency.

Motorola's Atrix 2 and Droid Bionic have both had their fastboot files leaked in recent days, providing a bit of insurance for daring users and developers alike. The Atrix 2's files are available here, while the Droid Bionic's fastboot set can be found here.

For those not in the loop, fastboot allows users to flash unsigned partition images via USB (including recovery images), meaning it is possible to bring a device back from a soft brick.

While we've already seen a leaked version of TouchWiz running on top of ICS, a new leak shows us what HTC is doing with Android 4.0. I know you're all anxious to see what it's all about, so let's just get that out of the way first:

It's worth noting that this is a very early test build, so it's subject to change before it actually sees any official light. With that said, you are able to flash this now on the HTC Sensation, courtesy of the RCMix Ice v1 ROM over at XDA. As far as bugs are concerned, consider this a very early alpha build, so there are definitely things that won't work as they should.

On what could possibly qualify as the most boring day of the year as far as Android news is concerned, a gem has finally surfaced: the seemingly official specs of the illusive Droid 4. We first caught a glimpse of the D4 last month, along with some suggested specs. If this leaked internal Verizon document obtained by Droid Life is to be believed, then most of the specs have now been realized.

  • 1.2Ghz dual-core processor (most likely the same one that's in the Droid RAZR)
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8MP rear shooter
  • 5 row slide-out QWERTY

  • 1785mAh battery
  • 4G LTE

There is something to be said about this device, and I'll go ahead and put it out there: this is what the Droid 3 should have been.

So, looky at what we have here: yet another render for a supposedly upcoming HTC device. This one is a far cry from the current crop of HTC phones on the market -- heck, it's even a whole different beast from the Edge and Ville. This one looks mean.

Not only does this monster look like it will beat up all the other phones and take their lunch money, but it's rumored to have the power to back it up. Under that sharp unibody hood, the Zeta is said to be packing a face-melting 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon, 4.5-inch 720p display, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and 8MP rear shooter capable of 1080p video capture, 1.3 front camera, and 1,830mAh battery.

HTC Ville Outed: 4.3-Inch Display, Ultra-Thin, Ice Cream Sandwich, And Sense 4.0

Hot on the heels of the HTC Edge, rumors of yet another HTC offering have surfaced. This one is codenamed Ville, and the word on the street is the HTC will announce this bad-boy alongside the Edge at Mobile World Congress. According to BGR, the Ville is packing some reasonable specs on the hardware side:

  • 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor
  • 8MP rear shooter (the same one that's reportedly in the Edge)
  • Metal construction
  • Less than 8mm thick

As you may have guessed from the above image, the Ville will come loaded with Ice Cream Sandwich, and Sense 4.0 is said to be coming along for the ride as well.

Leaked Press Shot Of The HTC Edge Shows Up, Rumored To Be The First Quad-Core Phone

While we already know the world's first quad-core tablet will be the ASUS Transformer Prime, we just got a glimpse of the first quad-core phone. It's rumored to be called the HTC Edge, and the hardware sounds completely beast.

  • 1GB RAM
  • 8MP f/2.2 lens
  • 10mm thick

There is one small detail that you may have already noticed: capacitive buttons. Of course, that doesn't mean this phone won't come with ICS right out of the gate, it just means that it won't take advantage of on-screen buttons.

According to PocketNow, we could see this device hit stores in late Q1 or early Q2 of next year, though carrier info is nowhere to be found.

Ah, the Droid Charge -- the Droid that never should have been. It was the first LTE Droid to hit Verzon and... well, its accomplishments stopped there. In fact, this once-flagship device is still running Froyo, rendering some of its hardware basically useless (like the front facing camera). Fortunately, Gingerbread may be just around the corner for those who bought into the Charge hype, as a new leaked build just landed on MyDroidWorld, courtesy of P3Droid.

While there isn't a changelog of any type, the leak does comes in a variety of options: stock, not rooted; stock, rooted; stock, deodexed, rooted; and deodexed, debloated, rooted.

Download: Leaked Galaxy Nexus Full System Dump (ICL23D), Recovery, And Boot Images

I'm surprised this didn't come sooner, but better late than never, right? The full Galaxy Nexus (presumably GSM) system dump, together with boot and recovery images were leaked earlier today by none other than Paul O'Brien, the founder of MoDaCo, a talented developer, and creator of many custom ROMs. If you remember, previously only the apps as well as certain bits and pieces of Ice Cream Sandwich were made available for download.

The files were extracted by Paul from a test device running build ICL23D and are about 170MB in size combined. You can download all 3 of them over at MoDaCo.

Motorola XOOM 2 Ad Confirms Honeycomb And Pre-Christmas Launch, Will Likely Retail For $400

A page from a catalog of the popular UK mobile retailer Carphone Warehouse was recently leaked, and it clearly states the Motorola XOOM 2 will be available in the UK in time for Christmas.

The catalog was intended for the Irish market, and thus the price has been listed in Euros as €399. Generally, prices in Euros and GBP for consumer electronics aren't reflective of exchange rates when attempting to determine a comparable price in the US - we're fairly certain the XOOM 2 will retail for $400 here in the US of A. And as Motorola is an American company (and we've apparently seen the XOOM 2 in Verizon's internal product system), we can probably expect it will launch here a little earlier than in foreign markets.
