We know how much you guys (and gals) love Otterbox, and we hope you know how much we love all of you; all of that love can only mean one thing: it's time for another case giveaway. This go around is exclusive to a couple of newcomers to the Otterbox family: the Defender Series for the Motorola Atrix 2 and the Commuter Series for the Atrix 2 and HTC Wildfire S. We're giving away one of each to six lucky readers - two Defenders for the Atrix 2, two Commuters for the Wildfire S, and two Commuters for the Atrix 2.
When US Cellular decides to make an announcement, it plays no games. Single device announcements? Puh-leez, that's for kids. Three devices at once? Now that's pro.
That's exactly what the regional carrier just did, too: name dropped three new HTC devices set to land on its network next month. The Wildfire S, Hero S, and Flyer tablet, to be exact. Want the deetz? Keep reading.
Hero S
The long rumored HTC Kingdom is finally official as the Hero S, packing some nice specs under the hood:
- 4-inch qHD Super LCD display
- 1.2GHz single-core Snapdragon processor
- 768MB RAM
- Android 2.3.x with Sense
Sure, it's no powerhouse, but a 4-inch SLCD at qHD res?
It's August 3rd, and as promised, the HTC Wildfire S is now available on T-Mobile. The Wildfire S is the newest mid-range device to grace the Land of Pink, most likely aimed at tweeners and smartphone newcomers.
Spec porn:
- 3.2 inch 320x480 display
- 800MHz single-core processor
- 512MB RAM
- SD Card slot
- 5MP rear shooter
- Android 2.3 with HTC Sense
You can grab this device in white directly from T-Mo for $80 after a $50 mail-in-rebate, or hit up T-Mobile's online store, Sam's Club, or Wal-Mart to score the black variation.
T-Mobile announced its newest midrange handset today: the HTC Wildfire S. The Wildfire S is a great middle-of-the-road phone for anyone on a budget, with somewhat modest specs:
- 3.2 inch 320x480 display
- 800MHz single-core processor
- 512MB RAM
- SD Card slot
- 5MP rear shooter
- Android 2.3 with HTC Sense
It may not be the hottest phone on the planet, but at least it has a decent amount of RAM for multitasking, and Android 2.3 runs great on slower hardware (I'm trying to be optimistic here).
As far as color choices are concerned, T-Mo retail stores will have an all white version available, while Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, and T-Mo's online shop get exclusive rights to the black iteration.
