Bitcasa has had a hard time of it since launching on Android seven months ago. Thanks to a buggy app for its unlimited storage service, it's currently sitting at a 3.5-star rating in the Google Play Store - not good when you're up against juggernauts like Dropbox and Google Drive. Hopefully the completely revamped 2.0 update will fix that. In addition to the seemingly ubiquitous UI overhaul, stability and performance improvements are mentioned in the changelog.

Here at Android Police, we love us some Reddit apps, almost as much as we love the gaming cat meme cakes our Libertarian Atheist girlfriends make us from locally-farmed flour. We featured Reddit Now way back in January, and since then the developer has made some noteworthy changes as the app has updated to version 2.0. The app has been slavishly dedicated to Holo standards since its launch, but the new version includes a Google Now-style card interface, not to mention a reworked look on tablets.

Skype

So here's the thing, Skype just received a major 4.0 redesign introducing a whole new look and feel that would feel at home on any Metro device. It just so happens that Metro's UI is pretty Holo-friendly. Windows Phone influence or no, the new version of Skype should still feel right at home on your Android phone of choice.

The new release doesn't usher in a wave of new features along with the new coat of paint, but Skype does boast that it is much faster and reliable, with emphasis placed on improving performance and load times.

One of the most popular fitness apps on Google Play has long been MyFitnessPal. This was true in spite of how it looked – the app's UI was absolutely awful, and performance left a lot to be desired. But no more. MyFitnessPal has gotten a new Holo interface in the most recent update.

The developers of MyFitnessPal completely redesigned the app. Performance is considerably better, and you could legitimately call the design Holo (#YOLO).

Imgur has become one of the standard Internet destinations for quick and dirty photo sharing, but its official Android app leaves a lot to be desired - though to be fair, it's still in beta. The latest update adds a much-needed Holo interface... sort of. The UI has definitely been improved over previous versions, and according to the changelog, it's Holo. While it's clear that the designers were trying for a more standardized app, the guidelines have been followed in some places and not others.

Tapatalk: love it or hate it, it isn't going away any time soon. For those who fall into the former category, version 4 of the ubiquitous forum browsing platform is now live in the Play Store, in a public beta version chock-full of new features. The app has been circulating among the Tapatalk faithful in private beta for just short of two months now. Tapatalk 4 is a free download, but requires Android 4.0 or higher.

For jetsetters and workaholics who require a little more than a legal pad to keep track of their billable expenses, Expensify has done solid if uninspiring duty as a mobile companion for some time. Yesterday the Android app got a brand new, Holo-compliant look, making form follow function right out of the land of Froyo buttons. While this update is the biggest change to come to the Android app in quite a while, the core functionality has not been affected that much, with only some new rule filters mentioned on the Play Store page.

viber

It's a pretty big day for Viber, the popular VoIP application that brings "free messages and calls" to your mobile. Seems that the guys behind the app (appropriately named Viber Media) have been hard at work preparing not only major updates to the Android and iOS applications, but also on an all-new desktop client for Windows and Mac.

The update to the Android version of the app brings many new features, including a new Holo'd-out look.

WeatherBug has been a big name in online weather forecasting for a number of years, and it was one of the first full-featured weather apps on Android. The problem, however, is that the app looked like it was designed by inebriated orangutans. Well, no more. The WeatherBug app has been updated with new features and a streamlined (not ugly) UI.

The new app has Holo-style tabs up top along with a drop-down for your locations.

moviefone

Allow me to be blunt for a moment: AOL's Moviefone was in desperate need of a makeover. Sure, back in the day the styling was appropriate – but now we want Holo. Everywhere.

Good news: the most recent update to Moviefone ditches the old tabbed-style interface for a much nicer-looking Holo-esque interface and dark color scheme. It really is quite nice looking – especially in comparison to the former version:
