Today is the day when most of us in the U.S. spend time with our family, stuff our faces full of delicious food, and relax. While you're spending time with your family, the Android Police family would like to wish you all a very special holiday - of all the things we're thankful for, you, the reader, are at the very top of the list. Despite the fact that we've already seen the phone previously known as the HTC Holiday running on AT&T's LTE network, the first carrier to get this monster device will in fact be South Korea's SK Telecom. The phone will be released under the moniker Raider 4G, and packs some pretty serious hardware under the hood:

  • 4.5-inch qHD display
  • 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8MP rear shooter, 1.3MP front camera
  • 16GB internal storage
  • LTE
  • Android 2.3.4 with Sense 3.0

There's no word when this phone will be available outside of South Korea, but considering AT&T just started lighting up its LTE network and doesn't yet have a smartphone available that supports it, we expect a US announcement fairly soon.

A couple of weeks ago the first photos of the HTC Holiday emerged, displaying its impressive hardware innards for the world to see. Now, BGR has landed some new photos of this up-and-coming device, which includes speed tests that show what AT&T's LTE network is capable of. Clocking an astounding 29Mbps, AT&T is looking to put the hurt on VZW's LTE network once it becomes more widespread.

Rumors of Amazon's first foray into the tablet world seem to be solidifying. Today, BGR received a tip adding credibility to the potential "family" of devices that the online giant is supposedly prepping. While these devices remain squarely in the realm of rumor, the few details that can be gleaned are pretty juicy.

The tip gave some info on two different tablets: "Coyote," an entry level tablet that will be running NVDIA's dual-core Tegra 2 processor, and "Hollywood" - a higher end device powered by NVIDIA's forthcoming quad-core Kal-El SoC.

Hot on the heels of the mock-up leak for the PlayStation certified "S1," Engadget has caught wind of another Android-powered Sony tablet currently in the works. Continuing with the theme of wacky design, the device is rumored to be a clamshell-style, dual-touchscreen device. Each display will measure 5.5 inches, and when closed, the device has a cylindrical form factor reminiscent of the giant crayon-shaped calculator I had when I was 5.

Here I was, innocently browsing the Yahoo homepage today (I use it as a random site to test my tethered connection), minding my own business. Imagine my surprise when the main navigation column suddenly started peeling off to reveal a so-dear-to-my-heart EVO 4G. Continuing to watch this technique, I observed a flat screen TV and a Blu-ray player before finally seeing the perpetrator on the right - Best Buy. While I'm not usually a fan of Flash ads, this one amused me and reminded me of the upcoming holidays with all the presents that still needed to be bought.
