Bringing what it calls the first multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game for mobile consoles to Android, Gameloft today released Heroes of Order and Chaos to the Play Store.

The game, a spinoff of the original Order and Chaos, takes place in a "unique fantasy setting" where players will join a battle that's been raging for centuries. It pits teams of three or five players against each other in one of two maps (depending on your party size), combining non-stop arena combat with RPG elements. Players can choose from 30 unique characters, six of which will be offered for free each week.

You may remember the name Heroes Call from E3, when NVIDIA touted it as one of the major upcoming games that would sport customizations to take full advantage of their Tegra chip. The Tegra HD (THD) version of the game was released last night at the low, low price of free. Thankfully, this might just be one of those rare cases in which "free" gets you quite a lot.

Free to play Action RPG. Answer the call!

Fight your way through more than 30 lush dungeons, collect gear, learn new skills and uncover the secrets of Brineside.

Featuring incredible graphics and deep RPG levelling and gear, Heroes Call brings dungeon crawling action and adventure to the mobile and tablet as it's never been seen before.

Claiming to have brought the first action/real-time strategy game to Android, the developers at Maya released Legendary Heroes to the Market yesterday. The game's overall structure and style are highly reminiscent of Defense of the Ancients (DotA), a popular mod for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, meaning Legendary Heroes is almost sure to be a hit.

The game centers on "quick and intense matches," in which players control up to three heroes, fighting to destroy the enemy and their "source," while leveling up and gaining new abilities. Legendary Heroes promises hours of gameplay, a dynamic set of heroes - each with their own unique powers - and the ability to push characters to their potential with power ups.

Fans of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, you may want to sit down for this one. Mere months after so successfully porting the Heroes of Might and Magic 2 (HOMM2) game engine to Android (see our review), the very same developer, a brilliant man by the name of pelya, now managed to do the same with the Heroes of Might and Magic 3 engine, dubbed VCMI.

Just like with the previous port, VCMI requires original game files to play, which I'm anxiously scrambling to dig up around the house right now. Alternatively, you can purchase the full HOMM3 game at GOG.com for $9.99 and dive right in.
