Way back in the bygone days of December 2014, we told you that mega-publisher Ubisoft was teaming up with the nostalgia specialists at DotEmu to bring the turn-based strategy classic Heroes of Might and Magic III to Android. Today they published the revived game in the Play Store, right on schedule (those DotEmu folks are pros, I tell ya). You can buy the game for $9.99 - pricey, but not unreasonable - for tablets and tablets only.
Do you hear that? The high-pitched whining noise? That's Artem, unabashed and ravenous fan of the Might and Magic series, squealing with delight. Ubisoft has just announced that it plans to bring an updated HD edition of Heroes of Might and Magic III to Android and iOS in January. You'll be able to load it up on your tablet (and only your tablet) on January 29th, for an undisclosed sum.
Fans of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, you may want to sit down for this one. Mere months after so successfully porting the Heroes of Might and Magic 2 (HOMM2) game engine to Android (see our review), the very same developer, a brilliant man by the name of pelya, now managed to do the same with the Heroes of Might and Magic 3 engine, dubbed VCMI.
