Users with great big ebooks have reason to celebrate today – Google has doubled the file size limit for Google Books uploads to 100MB. The change came with little fanfare, just a small update on the Google Books support page listing the new limit as 100MB per file.
Guys, we have good news for those who know how to read: Google Play Books is now available in a slew of new regions.

So, what does this mean? It means that residents of the aforementioned countries can now purchase and read Play Books from the Play Store. That brings the total number of countries where Books is available to 26 – more than any other Play service (Movies, Music, etc.).

Google gets a lot of abuse for not making various parts of its Play Store available in most countries. It's not necessarily their fault, especially when it comes to books, movies, and music - international content contracts are like trying to trade horses on a quantum level. But a major part of the globe gets more access tonight, as Play Store Books become available to India's population of 1.2 billion. Get your literature on, folks.
