If you've dreamed of being a renegade cop ready and willing to bend all the rules in order to put a stop to street crime, then Gameloft's newest title 9mm is the game for you.

You play the part of aptly named John "Loose" Kannon as the head of a special taskforce of like-minded cops set on ridding the town of crime, regardless of what measures need to be taken. You end up on the wrong side of the law after killing a drug lord's brother and stealing millions of dollars, becoming the target of every gangbanger in the city. The only way to survive is to kill them before they kill you -- legally or not.

It's no secret that we're big fans of tower defense games here at AP -- from Plants vs. Zombies to Fieldrunners HD, we're all about adding a new twist to a fun classic. Magic Defenders HD looks to do just that, with its deep storyline, amazing graphics, and downright awesome gameplay. Don't take my word for it, though, check this out:

Instead of setting up tons of cannons, railguns, or lasers to stop intruders from breaching your walls, you play the part of a lone sorcerer, capable of casting spells to destroy hoards of plundering orcs en masse.

You get to choose your hero for each of the three invasion episodes - the forest, the walls outside the town, and inside the town itself.

Unity3D has paved the road for some seriously stunning mobile games, and as smartphones and tablets continue to become more powerful, 3D shooters and other graphics-intensive apps will finally begin to reach their full potential.

A perfect example of this is MadFinger's latest project: Shadowgun, which we last saw in May. The OTS (over-the-shoulder) shooter puts you in the shoes of John Slade, an assassin hired to surreptitiously sneak into Dr. Edgar Simon's heavily guarded mansion.

Of course, the game's graphics are the real center of the hubbub - they're just that good breathtaking:

The game will be launching in just 5 days (9/28)...

If you're a fan of GAMEVIL and its lineup of pretty incredible game titles like the Zenonia series, then you'll be glad to know that it has released yet another RPG-style game into the Market today entitled Destinia.

In Destinia, you play the roll of an Imperial Guard member thrown in jail for defying an order to murder innocents. You're nursed back to health by the rebel princess Crystal, with whom you form an allegiance to overthrow the Empire. Yay!

The game has the familiar Gamevil look about it, offering visually stimulating graphics and special effects. Also in line with that familiar style, you'll find a rich and in-depth storyline and a wide range of character customization, including three classes, six subclasses, and thirty-nine skill trees.

We first told you about Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack! back in July, and now, just two months later, it has officially landed in the Android Market.

Kamikaze Attack is a new take on a the cult classic action from the old school Serious Sam, putting you in the shoes of Sam's mortal enemy, The Headless Kamikaze. You'll blast, kick, and whatever else your way through 40 insane levels trying to rid the world of Sam once and for all.

Is it me, or is that iPhone overly-big? I guess it's possible that the guy just has really tiny hands. I'd like to see him hold a BK double cheeseburger.

pocket league story

Kairosoft has already had you managing a race car team, a Japanese inn, and a game development studio, but their latest game, Pocket League Story, will have you training your own soccer team.

Much like the other Story games, Pocket League Story allows for total control of your team, from picking and training players, to building gyms and stadiums, and even selling merchandise. If you're already a fan of the genre, you'll probably want to pick this up in the Android Market for the usual cost of $5.18.

Everyone has played the original Space Invaders at one point or another -- scrolling back and forth, trying to eliminate each and every menacing insect-like alien floating above you. Imagine that, now add in steroids and speed, and the end result would be something similar to Space Invaders Infinity Gene. Just take a look at the gameplay trailer:

The biggest feature in Infinity Genre is its "the more you play, the more it evolves" styling, so it's an always-changing environment. Of course, gameplay this intense comes at a price -- $7.81, to be exact. While this is most definitely a bit on the high-end, there's no denying that it's a well made take on an old classic.
