There's a holiday of sorts coming up tomorrow, but there's still time to get something special for your significant other. There happen to be some apps and games on sale. That'll do it, right? Actually, that's terrible advice – don't do that. You can still check out these sales for completely unrelated reasons, though.
The Ouya's Tegra 3-based innards are getting a little old, but the console is finally starting to get a respectable game library and the controller has been tweaked since launch. Okay, maybe you don't want to spend $99 on it, but how about $85 with some free games?
One of the most consistently awesome games on Android is The Room. However, once you've beaten it there isn't much replay value in solving the same puzzles again. Well, clear your schedule – The Room 2 is now available in Google Play.
The Room 2 presents you with a a series of beautiful 3D environments that you must explore to solve the puzzles left by a mysterious scientist known only as "AS." The design of the game makes it easy to start playing – just tap on things, zoom in, rotate knobs, and so on.
Horn came out on Android back in 2012, and it was a pretty big deal at the time. Phosphor Games Studio had previously seen success with Dark Meadow, and it was clear the studio could do great things. Unlike Dark Meadow, Horn was published by Zynga instead of the developer. The title made a splash when it was released, but the 1-star reviews piled up as updates failed to materialize. Phosphor Games now has control of Horn back in Google Play, but what went wrong?
Turn that frown upside down – we've got some great sales to tell you about. If you weren't frowning, please disregard and continue being the lovable, positive person you are. Either way, check out these deals.
Minigore 2 arrived on Android a little over a week ago, but it was gone just days later after its ad practices were called into question. The game was basically requiring players to tap on ads to bypass mandatory wait times. It was a minor inconvenience, but a big fat violation of Google's ad policies. After a quick tweak, the game is back in Google Play under a new listing.
Thursday is traditionally a work day, but don't let us get in your way with all these cheap apps and games. No, you go ahead and keep doing you job while all these deals sit here waiting to be taken advantage of. They're just right down there... if you change your mind.
Warning: if you just woke up (howdy, West Coast readers) you might want to wait a minute or two before hitting "play" on that video. It has 300% of your daily recommended amount of color. Avoid - Sensory Overload is a typical endless runner, at least if you only look at its core elements; you fly around trying not to hit stuff. But that's a pretty inadequate way of describing the experience.
