[Game Roundup] 5 Hidden-Object Games That Bring Mystery And Suspense To Android - Play Detective On-The-Go

One of the most basic and (relatively) inexpensive genres of games, hidden-object games ask the player to find, well, hidden objects in a given scenario. Generally this involves some level of problem-solving and combining objects to find the next clue.

There are myriad hidden-object games developed for Android, but we've picked out five that we think are worth checking out.

Mystique

First up is Mystique, a hidden-object game that comes in three parts - only the first of which is free. It's a fairly standard experience for this genre, and places the player in a grotesque bathroom with blood, bandages, and an electric shaver.

This Just In

If you've received the new version of the Android Market on your phone, you might have noticed among the legion of additions to the app a very noticeable subtraction: the "Just In" section. Some people don't like this.

In fact, there is a growing thread over at Google Support with a number of complaints about this change. Of course, the complaints are pretty exclusively from developers. Now, some of these complaints are made from a legitimate perspective - new developers who want exposure. Of course, the problem is that these developers can't actually determine what percentage of their app's "clicks" come from the "Just In" section - there seems to be a tacit assumption that it's a large number, without any evidence to back up this claim.

[New App] Sixaxis Controller Lets You Play Games On Your Rooted Android Device Using A Playstation3 Controller

Gaming on Android devices has come a long way in the past several months, but it can be quite difficult to adapt to touch-screen-only gaming. During intense games, I tend to be pretty heavy-handed, which makes me a bit nervous when the my controller is also the screen, so I would love to have a way to enjoy games on my phone or tablet without destroying the display. Fortunately, Dancing Pixel Studios created an app that allows you to use a Playstation3 six axis controller over Bluetooth. Read on to find out more.

'Pocket Legends' Creator Drops Open Beta Of 'Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles' In the Android Market

Pocket Legends developer Spacetime Studios has lifted the VCAST-exclusive barrier on its latest game, Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles, and dropped the full version in the Android Market as an open beta for all to enjoy.

Star Legends is a Sci-Fi MMO that takes place in the depths of space, where you're immersed in a world of space ships, asteroid fields, and all other sorts of galactic habitats. You can choose from three different types of characters, all endowed with their own specific abilities: Commando, the rough-and-tough warrior type; Operative, a fast gun-slinging destroyer-of-all; or Engineer, a support-based character, ready to buff and heal the team.
