Ouya May Be Throwing In The Towel As It Reportedly Begins Acquisition Talks With Chinese And US Firms

The low-cost Ouya game console got a big start a few years back when it raised more than $8 million on Kickstarter. When the console actually came out in mid-2013, the results were less than impressive. Ouya has gone through a number of changes since then, but now Recode is reporting that it has entered acquisition talks with a number of companies in the US and China.

The PAX 10 Humble Flash Bundle Includes Badland, Solar 2, And Containment: The Zombie Puzzler For Android

The Penny Arcade Expo, better known as PAX, has been doing its thing in various cities for ten years now. If you haven't heard of it, it's basically a tiny microcosm of video game trade shows put on with the intention of welcoming actual gamers and fans instead of press or investors. The Expo is put on by the creators of the long-running Penny Arcade web comic and their team, hence the name. To celebrate the 10th PAX Prime, the ceaseless folks at Humble Bundle have created yet another collection of pay-what-you-want games for charity.

Thursday App And Game Sales: Mobile Doc Scanner, SketchBook Mobile (Free), Wave Wave, And More

The Play Store has a ton of apps and games, often at very reasonable prices. Still, we live in a world where apps are priced very low, sometimes to the point that people scoff at paying even $0.99 for something. Developers can't just give it away, but they can occasionally drop the price to entice those of you on the fence. So stop with the indecisiveness, and buy some stuff that's on sale.

[Update: Winners] Humble Bundle Adds 3 More Entries To The Sega Mobile Bundle, And We Are Giving Away 10 Gift Codes

The Humble Sega Mobile Bundle kicked things off last week with a collection of six games the publisher has released into the Play Store over the years. For any price, buyers could get ChuChu Rocket, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, and Virtua Tennis Challenge. Those who beat the average were rewarded with Crazy Taxi, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, and Episode 2 of Sonic 4. Now, right on schedule, three additional apps have made their way into the bundle. Two are, as you would expect, games: Sonic CD and Super Monkey Ball 2 Sakura Edition. The third happens to be a live wallpaper.

StackSocial's Handheld Hero Android Gamer Bundle Offers 7 Great Android Games Humble Bundle-Style

Normally when we see one of these pay-what-you-want Android game bundles, they come to us from the good ol' reliable Humble Bundle folks. This time around, we're looking at a package of games available from StackSocial.

There are seven games total, though you have to beat the average to get more than two of them. It currently sits at just over $4, but it's sure to rise over the course of the next thirteen days. 10% of your purchase will go towards one of three organizations: Child's Play, Creative Commons, or the World Wildlife Fund.

Math Nerds And Card Nerds Can Both Geek Out With Calculords, Now Available On Android

You know what collectible card battle games are missing? Math. Well, that's not strictly true: your standard Magic clone includes a lot of math, but it usually doesn't go much further than counting. The new Android game Calculords is a mixture of the standard card battle formula, lane-based strategy, and some grade school arithmetic. It made quite a splash on iOS a few months ago, and it looks like the Android translation is just about perfect. It's available on the Play Store for $3.

Calculords comes from rookie developer Ninja Crime, the brainchild of Cracked writer Seanbaby (though I remember some of his Electronic Gaming Monthly articles from 15 freakin' years ago).
