You made your nominations, and we've selected four of the most popular titles named as "Best New Android Game of 2011" for you to vote on. You voted. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner.
Best New Android Game Of 2011: Reader's Choice
And the Andy goes to.... Shadowgun - by a razor thin 14 votes.
While it was by the narrowest of margins that Shadowgun won a plurality of the votes (32% - see below), it's not hard to see why - truly amazing graphics, great over the shoulder gameplay, and console-level polish made it clear from the day we first saw screenshots of this game that it was going to do big things.

2011 was most definitely the year during which Android gaming was transformed from relatively mediocre to absolutely stunning. As an introduction for all the newcomers and a refresher for those who have been with Android for a while, here are all of the game roundups we've posted in 2011.
Every single one of you should find something in there that you will want to install. I can suggest two strategies:
- Browse the top of each post for the cream of the crop selection (I think I started sorting by quality towards the end of the first half of the year).

Who wants a free Galaxy Nexus? You do? We thought so, and we've one to give away - CDMA or GSM, it's winner's choice this time.
Before we get into the giveaway details, though, we want to give some love to the guys at BitHack, without whom this giveaway wouldn't be possible. BitHack is the dev team behind the game Apparatus, a title that you've probably heard quite a few times 'round here at Android Police.

Ever since we reviewed Ski Challenge 12, I have been on the hunt for an equally incredible snowboarding game. Com2uS ended my search with the release of SummitX Snowboarding, a ridiculously awesome downhill challenge game for those of us who enjoy boarding more than skiing.
First Things First
Update: The developer recently added information about pricing in the description. Thanks guys!
I would like to mention a minor complain before we go any further - SummitX is listed as free in the Android Market and nowhere in the description does it mention payment of any kind.
