Rovio Launching 'Bad Piggies', A Sequel To Angry Birds, On September 27th

This little piggy had some great success. This little piggy had none. This little piggy, however, has us wondering what's going on all the way home. Rovio announced today that, in a few weeks, we'll be seeing a sequel to Angry Birds arrive on the Play Store. Instead of being built from the ground up this time (or, rather, being bought from the ground up), this one will feature the mild-mannered pigs that you've spent so much time destroying. Now you'll get the chance to empathize with them!

We haven't seen any images or videos of actual game play yet, but according to tweets from @BadPiggies, the official Twitter account for the new game, it should be very different from Angry Birds.

Several weeks ago, Zombies, Run! gave our own Eric Ravenscraft a much-needed trip outside the house while he reviewed the unique workout/game hybrid. After using the application for several days, he came away impressed with it, though questioned its $8 price tag. If you share his sentiments, now may be the time to splurge and grab the download, as the price is down to just $3 until tomorrow.

[New Game] McPixel Is... I Don't Even Know What... Except It's A Raunchy Game Where Things Explode

Remember yesterday when I said some games go beyond description? This is more what I was talking about. McPixel is a game in which things explode...or sometimes a volcano erupts? And you're a person (I think) that has to defuse bombs. Or put them places. Or make statues sneeze. It's really very confusing, in the best way. The objective is to stop things from exploding by doing things. Which may include stealing an old person's dentures, setting monks on fire, and kicking flashers. All very effective bomb disposal techniques.

The game functions very much like the adventure games of old.

[New Game] Blazing Souls Accelate Is A Colossal Japanese RPG That Will Fill Up Your Storage, Empty Your Wallet

Games on Android continue to get bigger and more elaborate. One of the top developers leading the way in less-than-casual gaming on the mobile platform is Idea Factory (together with Hyperbox Studio). Previously, the company released Spectral Souls, a 1GB RPG for $15 that promised hundreds of hours of gameplay (as any decent RPG would). Today, the similarly priced, and even larger 1.2GB sequel lands on the Play Store: Blazing Souls Accelate.

The game packs everything you'd expect in a high-end RPG. Impressive graphics and animations, a free-roaming world, item upgrades, modifications, and crafting, and even a Pokémon system the ability to capture monsters and have them fight for you.

[New Game] Farts Vs Zombies Is Exactly What It Sounds Like, Plus Unicorns For Some Reason

Sometimes, a game comes along that is so bizarre, so weird, so completely out there that it's difficult to describe just how strange it is. This isn't one of them. In this game, a unicorn teaches you how to use farts to kill zombies. Duh. Of course some walkers only react to certain types of flatulence. Everyone knows this. That's why we have unicorn trainers.

The gameplay is very similar to the Plants Vs. Zombies that you were totally thinking about when you read the name of the game. Food comes down the line, you eat it, and colored gasses come out of your posterior.

[New Game] From The Maker Of Sprinkle Comes 'Granny Smith', A Hilarious Physics Based Racer

I'm not sure why in God's name a thief would want to steal apples from a helpless old lady, but that's exactly what's going on in Mediocre's new game Granny Smith. Not one to let the bad guy win, though, the old bat throws on her skates and goes after the madman. Those are some pretty important apples.

As made clear from the gameplay trailer, this is a physics based racer and appears to use a similar control method to Mediocre's other game, Puddle. Featuring 36 levels in three different settings, Granny Smith brings some interesting three-dimensional visuals, good use of physics, and simple two-button controls to both tablets and smartphones.

ARCHOS Looks To 'Revolutionize' Android Gaming With The GamePad – A 7" Tablet With Built-In Controls

ARCHOS, in an announcement that ambitiously looks to "revolutionize" Android gaming, has just unveiled the GamePad – a 7-inch, dual-core gaming tablet with built in controls (including buttons, a d-pad, triggers, and analog sticks) that remind us a little bit of Sony's PSP.

The interesting bit about this tablet is that it includes "automatic game recognition and mapping tools" which ARCHOS promises will "ensure control compatibility with every advanced Android game."

Of course, one of the most important things about a mobile device meant to center around gaming is its spec sheet. We aren't privy to the entire list of specs just yet, but here's what we do know: the GamePad will pack a yet unspecified dual-core processor at 1.5GHz with a Mali 400 quad-core GPU.
