Aliyun App Store Confirmed To Be Distributing Pirated Android Apps, Many From Another Pirate Site

A couple of days ago, we ran a story about a circulating rumor that Google had expressed strong concerns with the launch of an Acer phone powered by Chinese Internet firm Alibaba's Aliyun OS. As the post explained, Alibaba claimed that Google had warned Acer that releasing the CloudMobile A800 could result in the search giant "terminating its Android-related cooperation and other technology licensing with [Acer]." These rather strong words led to speculation over just what the issue could be with Aliyun, and whether Google had issued the warning at all.

In a time long before Captain America was even a glimmer in Strategic Scientific Reserve's eye, there was another World War. Did you know that? Yep. There were a lot of airplanes in it. Sky Gamblers: Rise of Glory lets players take those planes up in the air in a flight sim/aerial combat game that actually looks rather polished. Take a look:

Sky Gamblers has been released before, but it looks like it was a Sony-exclusive for a while (nearly all reviews were from Sony devices).

[New Game] One Single Life Is A Platformer That Kills Your Character And Your Enthusiasm

Odds are pretty good that you’ve hear this phrase from grizzled SNES-era gamers entering their thirties: “Games are too easy these days!” (Of course, younger gamers will use the same tone to complain about a lack of regenerating health and auto-saves.) If you long for the days of three lives and no continues… then even you might not be hardcore enough for One Single Life. This freshman game from developer FreshTone takes the “permanent death” idea to extremes by allowing you, well, one single life.

Things were good back in '89. Madonna's Like a Prayer was the song of the year, Michael Keaton took Batman to a whole new level, and Price of Persia was the the gamers' game. Hard to believe that was 23 years ago.

While Madonna has seemingly fallen of the face of the earth over the past few years, Batman received new life with Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy, and, now, Ubisoft has resurrected Prince of Persia for mobile devices.

Bombshells is an air combat game in the vein of Crimson Skies or SkyDrift, with a definite slant towards cartoony, arcade-style gameplay rather than simulation.

Rovio announced today that, in a few weeks, we'll be seeing a sequel to Angry Birds arrive on the Play Store. Instead of being built from the ground up this time (or, rather, being bought from the ground up), this one will feature the mild-mannered pigs that you've spent so much time destroying.
