EA's Real Racing 2, a game that we covered at launch back in December, is the self-proclaimed "most hotly anticipated racing game ever made for Android." It is also on sale (for a limited time) for just $0.99, 80% off its normal $4.99 price tag. The sale comes in celebration of the announcement of Real Racing 3, the next entry in EA's extremely well-crafted racing series.

The game, for those who aren't familiar, brings intense racing action to your Android device with over 40 miles of track in 15 different, equally immersive locations. The game has an interesting control scheme, allowing players to rely on touch or tilt controls to steer, and offering several customizations to "tailor to your personal driving style."

Real Racing 2 offers players the chance to work their way up - from rookie to pro - in Career mode, or simply enjoy a one-off Quick Race with "highly skilled" AI drivers.

Quick. Name the top three most time-consuming video games you can. Did you say RPGs, sims and "anything that even remotely looks like Farmville"? Well, one, Farmville already is kind of a sim so that doesn't really count and two, yes! Now, what happens if you mix all of these together into one big, colorful Japanese game? You get Kairobotica.

Part of the game takes place in a sim space colony where you build shops, tech, and bolster your forces for missions. The rest of the game takes place in (surprise!) missions. Combat follows a turn-based RPG style and how well you do will determine how much you can invest in back at your base.

Remember when Angry Birds came out, and suddenly a ton of games popped up based on flinging things at other things in a physics simulation? Well, now it's the running game's turn to get a million "variants". Agent Dash is just the latest in a series of games that have come out centered around dodging stuff while your character continuously runs forward, apparently unable to slow down. The Eames-era style, though, certainly makes this one a looker.

If there's anything that can improve on the experience of running towards things, it's gotta be spy gadgets and jet packs, right? Agent Dash doesn't pile on a lot of extra crap.

When you're creating a game, there are a few key things you need to include: a good atmosphere (be it an intriguing story or just some wildly immersive effects), good gameplay mechanics, and a good hook. What's going to grab the users' attention? Well, for Gears and Guts, all three of those requirements can be summed up with "driving cars into zombies." Oh, and did I mention there's a sweet soundtrack to go along with it?

This game ditches any attempts at a story and simply plops you down in a nice little town that's being overrun by the undead, hands you the keys to a muscle car and says "Now have fun." Gears and Guts offers the user the choice of either touch or tilt controls, which is an absolutely lovely change of pace from games that either force you into one or another.

It seems that mobile gaming is a haven for all the old classics to reappear. Rising even further from the ashes of the past than most other recent arrivals comes Z Origins, a remake of the RTS from the DOS days simply called "Z" by The Bitmap Brothers. It predates notable fan favorite Command and Conquer from Westwood Studios. Though it did come out roughly four years after Dune II (also from Westwood) which served as the archetype for most RTS games to follow, Z departs from traditional RTS gameplay in that collection of resources and structure construction as a requisite for certain units were not part of the game.

Here at Android Police, we trade in awesome games. Gingers getting chased by the grim reaper? Check. Apes summoning lightning from the sky? Check. Zombies taking shotgun blasts to the face? Check. A kid playing around in his room when he should be doing his homework? Okay, they can't all be winners. But here's one that is sure to melt your face off: an adorable kitten fighting fields of bunnies. What's that? You don't see what's so awesome about that? Here. Let me show you:

Yes, that's right. These bunnies are terrorists (seriously, some even have bombs strapped to their chests), and our hero, Marbles, has an arsenal of weaponry with which to obliterate the little bunnies.

One of the great things about Android's ecosystem is the number of indie developers who are able to enter the market successfully, providing a great product and inspiring would-be developers to join in. For many though, Android development in general is a mysterious topic. How an app or game goes from an idea to an entry in the Play Store is unknown, but (thankfully) not unknowable.

Of course, considering how major development studios bring apps to life doesn't require too much thought – major companies like EA, Disney, or Rockstar have no problem hiring designers and developers to crank out and maintain polished apps.

Yes, this is a story about a running game that was popular on iOS now arriving on Android. No, it's not that one. Or that one. This one is called Aby Escape. In this game, you play as a raccoon attempting to escape from a hunter, a cop, and...a biker? Sure, I guess they chase raccoons. Who says they can't? And just to prove it, this raccoon, Aby, is going to run like mad from all of these pursuers.

If you've played a running game before, you know the drill. Avoid obstacles, collect things, and don't get caught. This iteration of the genre also includes a story mode that promises you will laugh.
