CyanogenMod 13 Nightlies Are Available For The AT&T And Sprint Galaxy S4, Verizon HTC One M9, And Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE

CyanogenMod's maintainers are on an everlasting quest to conquer the software update war against pesky smartphone manufacturers who drop support way too soon for most of their devices. For instance, Samsung has been struggling to release Marshmallow for the two-year old Galaxy S5, but the CyanogenMod folks are ready to roll Android 6.0's software to an even older flagship: the three-year old Galaxy S4.

In this case, the CM 13 nightlies are available for the AT&T and Sprint versions of the Galaxy S4 (jflteatt and jfltespr respectively). The international S4 got it a couple of months ago, but other carriers and variants are still stuck on CM 11 and CM 12.1.

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4, Tab 4 8.0 LTE, And Avant Receive Minor OTA Updates

So you own a Galaxy S4, Tab 4 8.0 LTE, or Avant and have just received an over-the-air update from T-Mobile. What does it do? Regardless of which of the three devices you own, the answer is the same: not much.

The Galaxy S4, easily the most popular gadget of the three, is receiving a bump to version M919UVUFNK2. This brings with it Chinese language support. Don't speak Chinese? Proceed not to care about this update. The same is true for Avant owners, as the G386TUVU1ANK3 update you're getting hit with sports an identical changelog.
