Samsung Drops Android 4.4 Kernel Source For The Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition – Is It About To Start Raining KitKat?

We just saw HTC post its KitKat open source files for the Google Play Edition One, and now here's Samsung doing the same thing for the GPe Galaxy S4. An Even Newer Android 4.3 Build (JWR66V) Leaked For The Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition

Some devices get all the ROMs. Of course, for the Google Play Edition of the Galaxy S4, that's kind of the point. Late last month an early version of Android 4.3 was leaked for the phone right around the time of its Play Store debut, and now an even newer build labeled "JWR66V" has popped up. According to XDA Developers forum poster Jahon, it was build on July the 11th, and now it's been re-packaged into a ROM file flashable in the custom recovery of your choice.

[I/O 2013] Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition: Stock Android 4.2, AT&T and T-Mobile LTE, Sold Through Google Play In June For $650

We heard some last-minute rumors that Samsung's shiny new flagship, not even released in every market, is getting a special Google Edition. Well it's true, boys and girls: the Galaxy S4 Google Edition is real, and it's going to feature the same stock Android experience as Nexus devices. The GS4 Google Edition will be sold through the Google Play Store with the same AT&T and T-Mobile bands as the Nexus 4, plus LTE support.
