Say what you will about Samsung, but they're on top of it when it comes to releasing the source code for their phones. Today, Samsung dropped said code for the C Spire Galaxy S III (a US regional carrier) and the T-Mobile Galaxy S Relay 4G.

Samsung has just released the kernel source for one its devices running Jelly Bean for the first time; specifically, the Galaxy S III LTE that will be released in various markets across Europe (such as the UK's Everything Everywhere network) next month.

This version of the phone, though, is significantly different from the LTE-enabled variant we have here in the US. Instead of a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, the GT-i9305 Galaxy S III is using an Exynos 4412 quad-core in tandem with an in-house Samsung LTE baseband chip.

Samsung has just dropped the source code for the Sprint version of the Galaxy S III, and it's available on Samsung's open source web portal here. Samsung has been surprisingly on-point with getting source code for the Galaxy S III here in the US, ensuring that custom kernels and ROMs will have the maximum amount of tweakability available to tinkerers from the likes of RootzWiki and XDA.
