Samsung Announces Protective Flip Cover Multicolor Bundles For Galaxy S III And Galaxy Note II

Remember that odd plastic piece on the back of the Nexus 10? You could remove the part and replace it with a smart cover that remains physically attached to your device. Well, if you've wanted that same action on your Galaxy S III or Note II, now's your chance. Samsung's protective flip covers are going on sale.

Much like on the Nexus 10, these accessories will require that a part be entirely replaced in favor of an always-attached case. Only this time, it's the battery cover. As you can see in the pictures above, this flip cover is embedded in the rear of the phone and folds over to cover the screen.

Verizon And Samsung Finally Announce The Galaxy Note II Release Date: Available Beginning November 29th For $300

Hey Verizon customers - I bet you've been jealous watching all the Note II action on other carriers, haven't you? We've seen the releases come, and Amazon Wireless slash prices for basically all versions of the device. Still, everyone on Verizon was left wanting. Good news! Big Red just announced that the Note II will be available beginning tomorrow, November 29th for $300 with a two-year agreement.

So, if you can handle the obtrusive branding on the home button and are willing to dedicate two more years of your mobile life to VZW, you can stroll right into a Verizon retail store and walk out with your very own Note II first thing tomorrow.

Effective today, customers who sign a new agreement with Big Blue can grab this powerhouse phablet for $175 - the lowest price we've seen yet on the device. If you're an existing customer looking to upgrade to the Note II, don't sweat too hard - it's only $200 for you.

That's a minimum of $100 off of what AT&T is asking for this device, and $125 cheaper if you're signing a new contract.

Three days ago, Amazon dropped the price of Sprint's Note II to $230 for new customers, but the white version was excluded. Today, it has dropped the price yet again, and this time it's good for both the gray and white variants.

Effective now, you can now grab a Note II with a new agreement on The Now Network for $199. The price for upgrades has also been dropped by $30 - from $280 to $250. This is the best deal that we've seen for Samsung's next-gen phablet - but remember, Cyber Monday's just around the corner. Who knows what kind of great deals it may - or may not - bring.

Originally $299, you can now score this powerhouse not-quite-a-tablet-but-more-than-a-phone handset for just $229 when you sign a new contract with The Now Network. Sorry current Sprint subscribers - you'll have to shell out $280 for this device.

Strangely, this deal is only for the titanium gray version and doesn't apply to the white one. The price may very well drop later to match that of the gray variant, but at the time of writing, it's still listed for $280.

Galaxy Note II Gets Official CyanogenMod Support, First CM10 Nightly Already Out

Despite having past issues with Exynos processors, the CyanogenMod team has already released the first CM10 nightly for the international version of the Galaxy Note II. This is, of course, brings stock Android 4.1.2 to the oversized handset.

Definition: A "nightly" is a bleeding edge release that is built on a daily basis, usually at night after a full day's worth of new code has been committed.

It could oftentimes be unstable and not properly tested, lacking any changelogs, but eventually evolving into alphas, betas, release candidates, and finally stable releases.

If you plan on giving this a shot, don't forget to grab the appropriate GApps package, too.

It's finally arrived! The Galaxy Note II, which went up for pre-order back in October, has now gone on sale in AT&T stores and online. The Verizon version, for those of you who like be-uglied home buttons, won't be coming around for another couple of weeks, so sit tight. Otherwise, it's time to get your giant phone on!

Of course, the Note II is $300 on contract. That's a pretty hefty price tag on any day, and after Google announced the Nexus 4 for $350 off contract, it's going to get even harder for people to justify so much up front.

Sprint Galaxy Note II Gets Its First OTA Update (Build L900VPALJC), Brings Multi-Window And More

Note II early adopters on the Now Network, time to head into the Settings menu and check for updates - Sprint just announced a new OTA is rolling out for its iteration of the phablet. This update brings a few meh changes, like GPS lock setting enhancements, email fixes, and improved text message notifications while talking on the phone. But it also brings one major feature: Multi-Window. It's good to see this feature start rolling out to U.S. handsets, as it's been on the Korean and International versions for several weeks now.

If you missed this deal a couple weeks ago, then you're in luck. Today, ebay Daily Deals has the international Galaxy Note II available for a second time. For round two, the price has dropped slightly lower to $579 for the unlocked phone. More specifically, this is for the white, 16GB model.

Again, while the retail price of this phone is around $800, you can still find it online for $660 on a normal day. Today isn't a normal day, however, and the lower price tag will still save you about $80 if you're buying unlocked. If you're after an off-contract deal, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better one for this phone, so grab it while it's hot.
