There are two types of people in this world: those who stick with the same carrier for decades at a time, and those who jump from one to another in order get the best phones. If you fall into the latter category, now may be the time to head over to AT&T, because the HTC One X just dropped to a penny at Amazon Wireless.

Sure, HTC may have already announced the One X+ with AT&T as its exclusive provider here in the States, but that doesn't take away from what a solid device the original One X is right now.

The Atrix HD is probably the best Motorola smartphone on AT&T right now. If you happen to fancy Moto's hardware and are in the market for a new phone on Big Blue, you're in luck: it's now basically free from Amazon Wireless for new contract and upgrading customers.

One of the nicest options of ASUS' line of tablets is the keyboard dock with a built-in extra battery that can make your device run forever and much easier to type on. The downside? Those docks tend to cost over $100. In the case of the Transformer Pad 300 (TF300), exactly $127, to be precise. Right now, though, Newegg is offering it for free if you buy it with the tablet. The deal is available in both blue and white options.

Be sure to check the "2 Item Combo" check box. If you attempt to add the two accessories separately, you won't get the discount.

Big Red customers who just can't enough of the ol' pigskin, listen up: from now until October 1st, you can catch all the NFL action for free on your mobile with Verizon's NFL Mobile app. The service, which normally costs around $5 a month, allows you to stream live NFL content directly to your phone so you never miss a beat.

In an attempt to show off the capabilities of its nationwide 4G network, T-Mobile is giving every Galaxy S III owner a free copy of The Avengers as a virtual preload.

New and existing users will be able to download the movie from the Samsung Media Hub, with T-Mobile encouraging customers to take advantage of their unlimited 4G data. Users with Samsung AllShare will be able to stream the movie, and any other movie downloaded from the media hub, to their TV.

“T-Mobile is committed to bringing leading-edge smartphone experiences to our customers by offering new features, including exciting content such as ‘Marvel’s The Avengers,’” said Brad Duea, senior vice president, product management, T-Mobile USA.

In case you hadn’t heard, there’s a new Judge Dredd movie coming out starring Karl Urban (who should know a thing or two about remakes… darn it, he’s an actor, not a doctor). To build up some mobile hype, a new game has hit the Google Play Store. And since it is a mobile game, old Judge, jury, and executioner has come to finish off what plants, samurai, and Barry Steakfries couldn’t: zombies.

Judge Dredd vs Zombies is a rather typical top-down shooter: clear a room of undead crawlers via your gun, exploding barrels, or any other means, and you advance to the next one.

While it's become commonplace in more civilized parts of the internet for your data to just appear on whatever device you're using (I haven't had to manually move contacts since 2008, for example), sometimes things get left behind. If you've ever felt the sting of realizing that one important file is stranded on your desktop, TeamViewer is here with a healing balm for you: file transfer.

TeamViewer for Remote Control just recently updated to allow users to transfer files both from your desktop to your mobile device, or vice versa. More importantly, the app doesn't require users to go through a full-fledged desktop interface to get to your files.

Up to now, there's been no shortage of rudimentary BitTorrent apps for Android, both in the areas of actual download clients (usually pretty poor stuff) and remote managers for desktop torrent programs. But now, downloaders have access to one of the most popular and celebrated torrent clients out there: µTorrent, often called uTorrent or MicroTorrent. The officially blessed BitTorrent client is now available as a beta Android app, downloadable to any Android device running Eclair or later.

The µTorrent Beta seems to be an updated version of BitTorrent Beta, the official BitTorrent company's app. Both apps (along with the remote managers for their desktop programs) are available on Google Play now.

The Rocketeer taught me three important lessons when I was a kid: Jennifer Connelly is smoking hot, Nazis are all evil, and the only thing cooler than a test pilot in pre-war Hollywood is a test pilot with a rocket pack stolen from Howard Hughes. Along those lines, Halfbrick's Jetpack Joyride made quite a splash on iOS, and now it's available on Android as a free game supported by in-app purchases. For the moment it's available only on the Amazon Appstore, but Amazon will kindly give you a $1 credit to download the game. That alone should be enough to catch your attention, but there's a great game in there as well.

Are you looking for a new game to fill your daily commute? Pebble Universe might just fit the bill. The physics-based puzzle game has made its way over to Android from iOS, and offers 25 levels of gameplay for free.

The storyline behind the game is quite straight forward: you're responsible for a group of Pebbles (naturally), who are being attacked by soot-lump creatures wanting to eat delicious Pebble meat.

Now, in order to protect themselves against the evil creatures above, the Pebbles take advantage of the fact that their hats explode when they bump into each other. Still with me?
