And The Winner Of The LG G-Slate In The Giant Giveaway #2 Is...

Following in the steps of our 1st giant XOOM giveaway, we threw another giveaway 2 weeks ago with an even hotter prize - the LG G-Slate 3D tablet (thanks to NVIDIA again for providing the prize!). With close to 2000 Twitter and over 1200 Facebook entries, I am now ready to name the winner who will be able to shoot 3D movies left and right like it's his job, all while playing Angry Birds and gChatting his family.

[Deal Alert] LetsTalk.com Memorial Day Sale

Update Memorial Day: Well, Amazon prices didn't drop today. Our Amazon rep hasn't gotten back to us to confirm, but @AmazonWireless has tweeted that the "all 4G phones free" sale wasn't real, so I'm writing off the Amazon part of this sale as a hoax. :(

LetsTalk.com

Deals - we got 'em. While Amazon is having their own Memorial Day Android handset sale over at Amazon Wireless, LetsTalk.com wasn't about to be outdone.

[Giant Giveaway #2] Win A Free LG G-Slate 3D Honeycomb Tablet For Doing Close To Nothing!

Our first giant giveaway was a huge success, with lots of excited entries received from many countries around the world in the 2 weeks it was running. In the end, one lucky winner - Keef from the UK - walked away with a free XOOM Wi-Fi, excited beyond belief. While we could only pick one winner for that giveaway, I promised that more would be coming, one more awesome than the other.

TweetComb And Newsr Drop The Price Tag, Go Free For All To Enjoy

When it comes to Honeycomb specific apps, the selection isn't huge, so when you can score some for free, that's always a good thing. Honeycomb app dev Chris Stewart decided that he was in agreeance with that idea and has relinquished the price of two of his HC apps - TweetComb and Newsr - to display that.

As its name suggests, TweetComb is a Twitter client designed specifically for Honeycomb. While it may not be as good as say, Plume, it's really hard to compete with the price (even with the free version of Plume, you have deal with ads, whereas TweetComb appears to be ad-free).

Clock widgets, clock livewallpapers - when will we have enough of them? Never, I say! Every once in a while, a new clock variant comes out that pushes the limits of originality, and I think this is what we have here today with Text Clock Pro.

If you've been in an English fanatic's kitchen, there's a chance you might've seen a bunch of word magnets on their fridge which you can assemble into sentences.

[Updated: New Winner] And The Winner Of The Giant Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi Giveaway Is...

About 2 weeks ago, in collaboration with NVIDIA we threw our largest giveaway ever, with the grand prize of a Wi-Fi Motorola XOOM, one of the hottest tablets around. What happened next was way above any expectations I've set for this contest - there were over 3,300 entries between Twitter and Facebook, with Twitter leading the pack with about 1900 and Facebook trailing behind with about 1400.

At first, NVIDIA was concerned about running the giveaway in countries outside the U.S.

T-Mobile Gets Free Unlimited Wi-Fi Calling Starting May 11th

T-Mobile has seen better days. First, it looks as though T-Mobile will be acquired soon by AT&T and to pour salt in their wounds apparently the subscriber results for Q1 2011 have been atrocious. However, T-Mobile is still doing all it can to win back its customers by revamping its prepaid plans to allow for unlimited data, launching cutting edge handsets, and now allowing unlimited calling over wireless networks.
