LastPass makes multi-device access to your passwords free

They always tell you to use long, complex passwords, and to never reuse passwords on different sites. Sure, but how are you supposed to remember all those? With a password manager like LastPass, of course. There are other options, but LastPass is one of the big names, and now the free version of the service is even better. You can access your passwords on multiple devices without upgrading to premium.

Solitaire: Decked Out is a delightfully designed, free, and ad-free take on the solitaire game

You would be hard-pressed to find a game as worn out as Solitaire. It's been the default time-waster of Windows users for decades and the topic of many an assistant and receptionist joke. But there's merit to be had in bringing a fresh coat of paint to a done, redone, and overdone concept. That's where Solitaire: Decked Out shines.

It's another take on Solitaire with the same Klondike rules you've grown to know, a 1 or 3-card draw, some achievements for a little bit of competition, pause and resume, unlimited hints and undos, an offline mode, and both landscape and portrait orientations.

Carmageddon goes free on the Play Store, brings ads and bugs with its latest update

Whenever a paid app or game goes free on the Play Store, it's for one of three reasons: a) the developer is being super generous, b) the developer has abandoned it, or c) the developer decided to use another monetization model. It is almost never the first case, though. The second one is just friendly behavior that we like seeing, despite it giving us grief over the death of another app/game. But it's incredibly annoying when it's the third scenario.

Carmageddon, unfortunately, seems to fall in that category. The game, which normally cost $1.99 for the ad-free version (another Carma (free) version used to pop up every now and then) is now free.

'Messenger' by Luke Klinker is an SMS app that syncs across all your devices and the web

Text messaging applications are a dime a dozen. Luke Klinker, the developer behind Talon for Twitter and EvolveSMS, is working on another SMS app. Simply entitled 'Messenger' while in testing (the final release will have another name), this app allows you to use SMS on your phone, tablet, Android TV, through a web app, and even with a Chrome extension. As far as device compatibility goes, this is pretty impressive.

Noti is a free and open-source Pushbullet client for Mac

Pushbullet, despite some unpopular pricing changes, still remains one of my favorite Android applications. I use it every day on multiple devices, but Mac owners haven't been lucky enough to receive an official client. Your only choices until recently have been to use the Chrome extension (which requires Chrome to always run in the background) or a paid third-party client called PushPal.

There's still not an official client for macOS, but Noti was released recently. Noti is a free and open-source Pushbullet client, designed specifically for macOS. You can respond and take action on notifications, just like with the Chrome extension, but Noti uses the macOS Notification Center instead of the ugly Chrome notifications.

Next week's T-Mobile Tuesdays offers will include free Subway sub, Lyft ride, VUDU movie rental

T-Mobile Tuesdays program has had its fair share of hiccups, but all things considered, getting stuff for free every week is better than getting nothing. Next Tuesday (September 6th) will bring a partnership with Subway that will allow every T-Mobile Tuesdays participant to pick up a free 6-inch oven-roasted chicken sub from Subway. The usual partnerships with Wendy's (free small Frosty), Lyft ($15 ride credit), and VUDU (free movie rental) will continue for Tuesday the 6th.
