Sony's Xperia Z5 Series Pricing Surfaces Across Europe — From €549 For The Z5 Compact To €799 For The Z5 Premium, Even More In The UK

Their newly announced Z5 series has a very powerful Z5 Compact, a good Z5, and a slightly fluffed up Z5 Premium, all without compromising on processor, RAM, or camera performance.

However, that comes at a price and we're just starting to discover what the tag will be on these smartphones. Sony's announcement didn't include any pricing details, but retailers all across Europe and the UK have begun listing the different Z5 devices on their sites. Google Play Store Carrier Billing Goes Live For New Operators In France, Hungary, Indonesia, Slovakia, And Taiwan

Direct carrier billing is one of the most convenient ways to buy apps and content from the Play Store. Instead of making sure you have a valid credit or debit card or trying to find gift cards or setting up a Paypal account, you can simply have the purchase amount billed with your regular mobile service.

In today's round of new carrier additions on the Google Play support pages we find the French company Free, Hungarian TMI (Magyar Telekom), Indonesian Telkomsel, Slovakian PPF (O2), and Taiwanese Taiwan Mobile. Most of these won't affect a lot of subscribers (Free: 9M - TMI: 5.4M - O2: 1.7M - Taiwan Mobile: 7.6M), but Indonesia's Telkomsel is really a big deal.

Google Maps Navigation Lane Guidance Is Now Available In France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain, And The United Kingdom

OK, European readers. We know Google doesn't always put a rush on features and products outside of the United States. America got lane guidance (which tells you which lane to get into before you approach a turn or exit) way back in May. It looks like US roads were the only ones on which this feature was available, at least until yesterday, when Google announced lane guidance for some European countries on the official Google Europe blog.
