Welcome to the latest entry in our Bonus Round series, wherein we tell you all about the new Android games of the day that we couldn't get to during our regular news rounds. Consider this a quick update for the dedicated gamers who can't wait for our bi-weekly roundups, and don't want to wade through a whole day's worth of news just to get their pixelated fix. [New Game] You Can Now Play Tekken On Android... As A Card Game :(

It's really a cruel joke to put the words "Tekken" and "Tournament" in the title of a game, and then not deliver what everyone hopes. Well, Tekken Card Tournament has just arrived on Android courtesy of NAMCO BANDAI. Get ready to square off against opponents and do battle with your carefully-assembled deck of cards. Hey, that's... almost as good as fighting. Right?

This title is meant to tie in the the launch of a physical Tekken card game this summer. You'll be able to buy over 190 cards in real life, then take advantage of augmented reality and QR codes to bring the physical cards into the game instantly.

[New Game] Real Boxing Floats Like A Butterfly, Stings Like A Tegra 3 On Google Play

Most of you will be familiar with Real Boxing after following the coverage on NVIDIA's Project Shield, in which the iOS pilgrim was heavily featured. While you'll have to wait a few more months to get a hold of NVIDIA's gaming hardware, the boxing game is available today on Google Play. $4.99 will get you what's easily one of the most graphically intensive titles on Android, though you'll need to be rocking a Tegra-powered device to see them.

Real Boxing strives for realism in every aspect of gameplay, starting you off as a rookie boxer trying to work through the ranks.

[New Game] Glu Mobile Returns To Ancient Rome With Blood & Glory: Legend

What we do in life echoes in eternity. But what you do in between classes or on the bus home might not matter quite so much. Even so, you can squeeze in some fantasy-flavored gladiatorial combat with Glu Mobile's latest high-profile title, Blood & Glory: Legend. The sequel to the original Blood & Glory expands with new stages and a new story, advanced via a motion comic-style cutscenes. Like most of Glu's recent offerings, the game is free, but you can upgrade your appearance and weapons with in-app purchases.

For the uninitiated, Blood & Glory combines 3D weapon-based combat in the style of Soul Calibur or God of War with speed ramp gameplay, making both the up-and-down pace and the controls more suited to a mobile device.

Award-Winning Game Rigonauts Coming To Android In May, Bringing Fighting Machines With Some Assembly Required

You might want to clear your schedule for a few weeks in May because that's when the game Rigonauts will be appearing in the Play Store. An early version of Rigonauts from Engient took second prize in Activision's Independent Games Competition last year, and now an updated version with improved graphics and gameplay is on the way to Android, iOS, and PC. This is a physics-based fighting game with a healthy dose of strategy, and that's not something that comes along everyday.

In Rigonauts you play the role of Rigo, who has to lead his hobgoblin minions to freedom with their evil masters, the Komandants, hot on the trail.

The King Of Fighters Android Lands In The Play Store, But It Only Supports A Fistful Of Devices (For Now)

If you love old-school side-scroller fighting games like Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter, then you've probably played one of the many The Kings of Fighters games throughout the years. The series has now made its way to Android, albeit only for a few select devices for the time being.

The Android version of TKoF brings all of the in-your-face gameplay that fans of the franchise have come to expect, including three-on-three Team Battle mode, Single Battle, and Endless Endurance mode so you can really test your skills. The game also features 20 classic characters, like Kyo Kusanagi, K’, Ash Crimson, and Billy Kane.

When an app comes out that not-so-subtly takes inspiration from major motion pictures, we're tempted to look the other way. The exception, of course, is if they're good. Dojo Madness is one of those exceptions. You play as a ninja raccoon that must defend his dojo from evil wolves, gorillas, and turtles. Also, you shoot blue laser balls.

The app has a very Fruit Ninja feel to it, with the dojo aesthetic and the fast-paced gameplay. You, the Ninja Raccoon, stand in the middle of a room while enemies come at you from eight different tracks. You use a combination of close range physical attacks and long-range magic attacks to fend off the invasion.

The Game

A lot of my youth was spent playing the Smackdown series of games on the PS2; I still pop in Here Comes the Pain every now and again to relive the glory of throwing someone off the top of a ladder through a table. These games, with their arcade-y mechanics and campy story modes, were kings of replayability: if you got bored with your current roster of brawlers, you could just create a bunch more and suddenly the game was new again.
