Falcon Pro Hits 100K User Token Limit - Another Twitter Client Bites The Dust

In case you hadn't heard, back in August of last year Twitter changed the rules for their API, limiting developers to 100,000 individual user tokens for outside apps (or 200% of then-totals, if the app already had more than 100,000 users). To say the change was controversial would be an understatement. Falcon Pro, a favorite among Android Twitter users, has hit the limit. New users cannot log into Twitter via Falcon Pro. That includes those who have already paid for the app and are reinstalling for a new device or ROM.

Falcon Pro was, and technically still is, one of the most popular paid Twitter clients on the platform.

Besides the usual bug fixes, this update brings several big enhancements, not the least of which being a completely new, completely appealing "light theme," which will switch your Twitter experience to a pleasing holo light look.

Falcon Pro Updated To Version 1.4, Adds YouTube API Support, Mute Management, Logout Option, And More

Increasingly-popular Twitter client Falcon Pro has been updated to v1.4 this morning, adding a slew of new stuff. You can find out what that stuff is in the changelog below.

- Added mute mangement from settings
- Added hashtag auto fill when searching for tweets
- Added slider for refresh rates

- Enhanced conversation view with private accounts
- Changed reply icon in profile view
- Faster user profile loading
- Fixed the rotation problem on tweet writer with pics
- Fixed orientation change on main view

So, no, there still isn't support for push updates.

Back in mid-August, we highlighted a gorgeous Twitter widget called Falcon. There was a lot to like a Falcon as a widget, but it didn't take long to realize it wasn't living up to its full potential - it needed to be a full app. So that's exactly what Joaquim Vergès - Falcon's developer - did. And it looks fantastic.

Simply put, Falcon Pro is probably the best looking Twitter client I've ever seen. The transitions are so smooth, the color scheme is subtle and nice to look at, and above all, the interface is intuitive and a pleasure to use.

There's a lot of options for Twitter on Android, both in full apps and widgets. But the newest player may just be my new favorite. Falcon for Twitter, now in beta, combines the standard timeline view with enough options and settings to make the obsessive compulsive Android user ecstatic, while still fitting in with the Holo theme of ICS and Jelly Bean beautifully. The standard features include listing your mentions, retweets and private messages, and a quick and useful mobile view that opens links in a mini-browser without ever leaving your homescreen. This can be changed to open a standard Twitter app.

Official uTorrent Remote App Debuts - Manage All Those Perfectly Legal Downloads From Your Android Phone

Before anyone jumps on me, I know there's a number of remote torrent management applications out there on the Market, including ones that work with uTorrent. This app, however, is being put out by none other than BitTorrent Inc., the owners of uTorrent. That means you can expect a remote torrent client that actually works, as opposed to the aforementioned mediocre alternatives. Not to mention the fact that uTorrent Remote packs a feature set other remote torrent apps simply can't match.

What a suspiciously legitimate download queue.

Unfortunately, there's a catch. You need to be using the 3.0 Alpha build of uTorrent on your PC (get it here) in order for this app to work, which is currently only available for Windows.
