[New App] The Maker Of The Best Tasker Plugins Is At It Again, Releases AutoLaunch Into The Play Store

The developer behind some of the best extensions to the popular Tasker automation app has released another plugin into the Play Store, one that expands on how users can launch and access apps. AutoLaunch offers two primary functions: the ability to dynamically launch apps and the option to pull up app queries. You can head over to the plugin's website for instructions on how to get set up, but first, see the new functionality in action in the video below.

Motorola Connect Chrome Browser Extension Goes Live Before The Moto X Announcement

Motorola was probably hoping to save at least a few surprises for its Moto X press event in New York later today, but someone at headquarters pulled the trigger a bit early. The Motorola Connect extension went live in the Chrome Web Store late last night, and it's currently available to install. Not that it will do any good: you'll need a Motorola DROID MINI, DROID Ultra, DROID MAXX, or the Moto X to use it.

This Greasemonkey Script Lets You See All 'My Apps' On One Page And Filters Between Free/Paid In The Web Market

The Play Store's web market has come quite a long way since it was first announced back in February of 2011. Still, that doesn't mean it's perfect - among others, there are quite a few filter options still on the request list. For example, many users want to separate their free and paid apps in the My Apps interface. Thanks to a Greasemonkey script Artem just stumbled across, now you can.

[Review] CrossTxT Bridges The Gap Between Phone And Computer For Easy Texting - Regardless Of Browser

A few months ago we reviewed an interesting app called Texty. This app connects an Android phone to a computer through Chrome, and allows the user to send text messages straight from said browser. This is useful when you are working on your computer and you do not wish to move your hands away from your comfortable ergonomic keyboard and start pecking away at a small 3-4" screen. CrossTxT performs a similar function, but in my opinion, is far superior to Texty.

Android Market Extends App Purchases To 99 More Countries

One of the Android Market's biggest downsides has always been the inability to buy/sell apps in certain areas of the world. It looks like Google has been hard at work tackling this issue, though, as the reach of Android app purchases is extending to 99 more countries, for a total of 131.

This is probably some of the biggest Market-related news to come out of I/O this year, especially for citizens of the affected countries.

[Review] Texty Brings Texting To Your Computer Because You're Not Texting Enough Already

If you're anything like me, you text constantly. There are times, however, that I put my phone down and hop on the computer to do some more in-depth tasks or just enjoy some good, old-fashioned big-screen browsing. When I'm doing that, it's usually a pain to receive a text message, have to dig out my phone, open the messaging app, and use a tiny keyboard to reply, even though I'm sitting at a much larger, easier to use keyboard.

AndroidPolice.com RSS Add-on For Dolphin HD Now In The Android Market

In an effort to make it easier to access AndroidPolice news on the go, we have partnered with the makers of the Dolphin HD browser to release a Dolphin RSS add-on for AndroidPolice.com. This add-on is a basic RSS app with a 1-click access to the latest AnderoidPolice headlines.

Power users may not be too impressed by the simplicity of this app and may instead add our RSS feed in their favorite RSS readers instead (such as Newsrob).
