LG G2 Will Come To AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, And Sprint In The United States

LG had hardly introduced its new G2 flagship when they mentioned that it would come to the "big four" American carriers, meaning AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint. They're bringing the fight to Samsung in this carrier-driven market. T-Mobile has confirmed the statement in the LG event: there's already a basic website dedicated to the new 5.2-inch Android handset, complete with the compulsory information signup. There's currently no date or price for the phone on any carrier.

Just as expected, Verizon revealed its new family of DROIDs today, courtesy of Motorola. The smallest is (naturally) the DROID MINI, entry-level counterpart to the big daddy Ultra and MAXX, and ostensible sequel to the excellent DROID RAZR M. The phone uses the same Kevlar-wrapped style as the larger phones, with the naturally updated hardware that you'd expect. It launches on August 20th for $99 on-contract, and pre-orders will be live today.

LG Teases The Optimus G2 In A Feel-Good Video, New York Event Scheduled For August 7th

LG would like to let you know that you're perfect, just the way you are. Yes, you. And you, in the back. Not you with the Galaxy S4, though. Their latest posted video from the official LG Mobile YouTube account tells a tale of happy people running around New York City, taking photos and videos of various posters and signs bearing the legend, "To me, you are perfect. From G." Plus, there's a great big numerical "2" at the end.

T-Mobile Press Event Scheduled For July 10th In New York, Invites Tease The Company's "Boldest Moves Yet"

Ah, the press invitation: the event that sends the wild gadget blogger into a frothing rampage of speculation and anticipation. Our latest guess-fest is provided courtesy of T-Mobile, which sent out press invitations to a July 10th New York City event this afternoon. There's no information on what might be revealed therein, and T-Mobile's typical pink marketing language isn't saying much. The only clue we've got is that it will, in the carrier's own words, include T-Mobile's "boldest moves yet."

Korea Times: Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 To Be Unveiled At June 20th London Event, Says CEO JK Shin

We wondered what Samsung would have up its sleeve for that shadowy Premiere event, set for June 20th in London. Or more precisely, we wondered what it had left - the company has unveiled no less than three variants of the Galaxy S4 (at least by name) and two new tablets since the event was announced. According to the Korea Times, at least one new product will be the Galaxy Camera 2, successor to last year's eponymous category-bending smart camera.

Facebook Wants To Show Us Their "New Home On Android" On April 4th

Facebook is throwing an Android event at its headquarters in Menlo Park in exactly a week - on April 4th at 10am Pacific to be precise. We've just gotten our invite, and from the looks of it, so has the majority of the Android and tech press. Needless to say, Facebook wants as many eyes as possible on whatever it's about to announce, be it a new Facebook-heavy phone, another app, or maybe even a full-fledged Android-based Facebook OS not tied to specific hardware.

[Video] Watch ASUS' (Hilarious) Padfone Infinity/Fonepad Unveiling In Its Entirety

Yesterday, we attended a press conference at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona where we were treated not only to the unveiling of ASUS' new Padfone Infinity and aptly-named Fonepad 7" tablet phone (with which we later got some hands-on time), but also to the dazzling (ly awkward and hilarious) antics of a "tech illusionist," and plenty of other awkward moments.

We were able to share a pretty detailed account of the event, along with a short video, but those who want to see the full unveiling from start to finish can now do so, thanks to ASUS' own YouTube channel.

Silence Updates To Version 2.0, Gets New UI, Calendar Integration, Recurring Events, And More

Handy volume control app Silence got a nice update today to version 2.0. The update, besides introducing a new (holo) interface, adds a ton of new functionality. So much, in fact, that the app's functionality now overshadows its simple name.

For starters, the update adds Google Calendar integration (for Android 4.0+), and support for recurring events, each with their own volume profile. Users can configure the events to repeat until a given date, and the app can control notification, media, and alarm volumes with individual levels for each.
