For those who may not know, Echofon is a pretty popular Twitter client for iOS, Windows, Mac, and - strangely enough - Firefox. It combines a clean interface with basic Twitter functionality in a lightweight package; as such, many Android users have been waiting for it to makes its way over to our side of the fence.

Echofon for Android alpha recently became available, and after playing with it for a few minutes, I have to say that it looks and feels much more polished than I expected.
