When I switched from AT&T from Verizon and swapped my aging, battered, and bruised Nexus One for a DROID BIONIC, the possibility of buyer’s remorse was not on my mind. I was coming from AT&T - America’s single least reliable network in terms of dropped calls. So, I thought the last thing I’d end up doing was wishing I was back there. And now, at least part of me does.

If you own a Verizon 4G LTE handset, you’ve probably experienced an issue exactly or approximately like this one: You put your phone in your pocket or let it sit overnight, take it out some time later or the next morning, and there’s no data connection.

The Logitech Revue, originally highly overpriced at $299.99, was recently reported to be going down in price heavily to a sweet spot of $99.99 that it should have shipped with in the first place in my opinion.

As of today, the price drop is in effect, so you can order the Revue for $99.99 with free 2-day shipping directly from Logitech by following this link.

Update: It's now up for the same price on Amazon and at Best Buy.

On a separate note, I've heard some rumblings lately of rumors that the original Google TV hardware won't be getting the promised Android 3.1 (some of you pointed out 3.2, but the rep said specifically 3.1) update and want to take this chance to debunk it.

Tip: Launcher Pro And ADW Users - Drag And Hold Your Apps Over The Trashcan To Quickly Uninstall Them

Today's tip is common sense to those Launcher Pro/ADW users who are aware of it and pure bliss to those who aren't. Normally, if you drag an icon on your homescreen to the trashcan, the icon simply gets removed from the given homescreen. However, if you keep holding it over the basket, the action turns into "Drop to uninstall," becoming the fastest way to remove apps that I can think of. To sweeten things up a bit, you can also drag icons into the basket from the launcher, achieving the same murderous effect. It literally takes 1 click to get to the uninstall screen without requiring any extra programs or menu walking.

The folks from Trident Cases were nice enough to send me a review unit of their brand new Trident Cyclops for the HTC EVO 4G. I must say, after putting this case on and using for a few hours, there are several reasons that this is my new favorite case, and I'd like to do some show and tell.

My first impression of the Cyclops was actually a direct result of its packaging.

There's a lot that can be said for good, clean packaging, and this box delivers with some cool tech info and a QR code that takes you to a video of a Trident employee smacking around an iPad in one of their cases.

Android WiFi Tether App For Rooted Users Constantly Disconnecting? Try These Solutions To Fix It

The number 1 Android app for rooted phones out there is undoubtedly Android WiFi Tether, which is a free alternative to all those carrier-bundled WiFi hotspot apps. In fact, it is the primary reason I root every Android phone I own - 2 hours of commute on the train suddenly become extremely productive because of always-on laptop connectivity. I've excitedly written about the app before, especially after it added support for Infrastructure mode and WPA2 on the EVO 4G.

Problems

However, after a few months of using the WiFi Tether app, I started experiencing occasional issues maintaining connectivity. The symptoms were:

the WiFi AP (access point) would suddenly disappear from the list completely
the connection would drop unexpectedly
the AP would show up in the list but connectivity with it could not be established

Doesn't sound like fun, does it?

$149 Wi-Fi Nook Now On Sale, 3G Model Drops To $199, Kindle Follows Suit By Undercutting To $189

Barnes & Noble has announced a new, Wi-Fi only, version of the Nook today, offering a lower introductory price point next to the more expensive 3G model.

Available to buy from today, the new Wi-Fi model is available for just $149, over $100 cheaper than the original price of the 3G model. For that price, you’re still getting what’s essentially the same Nook as before, just without the 3G internet connection. In an attempt to rub salt into Amazon’s wounds, Barnes & Noble has also reduced the price of the 3G model to just $199.
