These days, medieval mythological warfare can be done via the comfort of your own phone. Dragon Slayer fulfills your fantasy by allowing you to engage in magical combat with a host of dragons, and dragon-like creatures.

As with most fantasy-based games, you can collect and upgrade equipment to become more efficient at ending the lives of rare, gargantuan reptiles. Each dragon has its own set of skills, magical abilities, and weaknesses to challenge you.

Nuance Releases Dragon Mobile Assistant, Asks, 'What Google Voice Actions?'

For years Nuance's Dragon served as a leader in the world of voice dictation and commands. More recently, though, as Google and Apple move in on the speech control world, the company has a more pressing need than ever to distinguish itself. Enter Dragon Mobile Assistant. This app aims to "expands the natural language understanding and artificial intelligence" of Dragon Go! and "[add] the most popular personal assistant features."

At this point, most of our readers are probably aware of how voice assistants work. This one isn't much different from the usual fare. You can speak commands to set up appointments, make calls, send texts, and perform searches.

Samsung Canada Sends Loyal Facebook Fan A One-Of-A-Kind Galaxy S III, Complete With 'Epic Dragon'

Back in May of this year, a die-hard Samsung fan named Shane took to Facebook to try and score a free Galaxy S III with a custom piece of art (read: a drawing of a dragon). While Samsung was pleased with the gesture, they politely declined his request for a free phone, instead offering a drawn picture of a kangaroo riding a unicycle. No, I'm not making this up.

Given its awesomeness, the above image quickly went viral. As a result, Sammy and friends got a lot of attention that day.

Fast forward to today, and Samsung has now given Shane a one-of-a-kind Galaxy S III donning a custom back.

Kairosoft Releases "Dungeon Village" In Typical 16-Bit Fashion, But With New Quasi-RPG Goodness

If you've ever taken a look at the top Android games (or if you just follow Android news closely), you've almost certainly heard of Kairosoft before. They're the developer behind major hits like Game Dev Story and Grand Prix story. Now the company is back with a new title: Dungeon Village.

The game looks quite similar to the other titles, but they seem to think it has a bit of an RPG flair to it (though we can't figure out how):

Swype Beta Update Begins Rolling Out, Features Dragon GO! Integration And Support For Android 4.0

A new beta update for Swype has begun rolling out and will hit tester's handsets over the next 72 hours. The big changes, if you couldn't tell by the title, are Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) support and the integration of Dragon GO! - unsurprising, since Swype was purchased by Nuance and Dragon Dictation support has been rolled in since December. Specifically, the update adds functionality to the "Dragon" key which allows users to dictate speech using the infamous engine, as well as launch the Dragon GO! app.

Other improvements include improved prediction accuracy, and a few bugfixes regarding language modeling and dictionaries.

The First Fruits Of The Nuance-Swype Buyout Come To Light: Swype Updated With Dragon Dictation And Improved Language Modeling

Nuance, the company behind Dragon Dictation, bought out Swype almost three months ago, but the results of the deal haven't really been exposed since. No longer -- Swype has just been updated with a "Dragon Flame" key that, when pressed, initiates a voice-to-text system provided by none other than Dragon Dictation. In its current form, it features support for French, Italian, German, and English, with Swype representatives claiming more languages are on the way in 2012.

Additionally, Swype's language modeling algorithm has been improved. What's that mean? In the company's words, this will "increase the accuracy of the suggestions we offer (such as knowing that you mean 'mosh pit' instead of 'mosh pot')." The system analyzes your writing and shapes its predictions around the context of your sentences.
