Digitally Imported Radio Optimizes Its Interface For Tablets And Landscape Orientation

If you want to stream electronic music, Digitally Imported (di.fm) is one of the best sources you can turn to. The service's Android app, Digitally Imported Radio also does it justice on mobile thanks to wide channel support, a great and updated interface, and frequent changes to implement new features like casting support. The app, however, lacked one option when it was redesigned in June of last year: landscape support. That's finally being implemented along with interface optimizations for tablets.

Version 3.1 of the app adds "first class support for Android tablets," and restores support for landscape orientation on phones.

Digitally Imported Radio (DI.FM) Gets A Huge Visual Redesign In Version 2.0

Digitally Imported Radio (or DI.FM, if you're accustomed to streaming through a browser) isn't a service we get to write about often. That's not because it's bad. It's just that the app lets you listen to over 80 human-curated channels of electronic music, and there's not much else to see.

But for the big leap to version 2.0, AudioAddict has given the Android version a complete visual overhaul. Digitally Imported Radio now looks less like something from the ICS days and more like old Pandora. The icon has also changed, as you can tell from the image near this post's title.

DI.FM Maker AudioAddict Releases 'Fresca Radio' App Aimed At Latin, Hispanic, And Caribbean Music

The makers of Digitally Imported Radio (DI.FM) have hit the Play Store with another streaming app, and this time they're out to give fans of Latin, Hispanic, and Caribbean music reason to bob their heads, sway their hips, and tap their toes. The app, Fresca Radio, provides 40 stations filled with curated tracks. There's a Cuban Lounge station, one for Latin Metal, and another option dedicated entirely to Reggae.

Music streaming apps aren't such a rarity that they get a shoutout merely for existing. Why Fresca Radio catches our attention is pretty simple. Like DI.FM and the developer's other releases, basic streaming is free.

Digitally Imported (DI.FM) Radio App Lands In The Android Market

DI.FM fans, in an announcement on Facebook, your favorite radio station just dropped its Android app (previously available as only an off-Market beta) in the Android Market. Being one of such fans - Digitally Imported Premium is one of the few services I pay for monthly - I can tell you that the app is superb - it's clean, well designed, functional, and not over-bloated with features nobody needs.

Besides the obvious music streaming from all of DI's 37 channels, the app offers an ability to set favorite stations, stream using different bitrates when on Wi-Fi or cellular networks, and an ability to log into Premium to experience higher quality music without commercials.
