Sony's latest and greatest is getting a little bit better today as an update for the Xperia Z2 begins making its way out to devices. The Z2 was already on Android 4.4 KitKat, so there's no change on that front. The update (version 17.1.A.2.55) does include a number of notable tweaks and improvements, though.
Well, that didn't take long. After getting word yesterday that the update was ready, Ma Bell has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat to the HTC One Mini. Along with 4.4.2, the update includes HTC Sense 5.5 with all the OEM-specific tweaks you'd expect.
After showing up as a humongous ROM, the T-Mobile LG G2's Android 4.4.2 update is making its way to devices as a regular OTA. Well, it's probably getting the update. T-Mobile's support page is a little fuzzy on the details, but today (March 3rd) is listed as the start date for the software's availability.
Update: AT&T has just posted on its blog to say the OTA is live. Check for updates, people.
Prepare yourself AT&T customers – the Galaxy S4 is about to finally get that KitKat update that's been slowly rolling out across Samsung's product lineup. AT&T just posted the update details, and tomorrow (February 26th) is the big day.
The Galaxy Note 3 has already been getting its fair share of KitKat, but now it's the Galaxy S4's turn. The Exynos 5 Octa version of the international Galaxy S4 is getting Android 4.4.2 via an OTA update. If you have a GT-i9500, don't go checking for updates just yet – this rollout is starting in Russia.
The kernel source was posted just the other day, which usually signals an update is right around the corner. Indeed, here comes KitKat for the Galaxy Note 3 on Sprint. The 503.6MB OTA download includes a few small tweaks to TouchWiz with Android 4.4.
