There's an update rolling out to the Axon 7 Mini today that will be of particular note to anyone using the phone on T-Mobile. This device is finally getting support for T-Mobile's VoLTE calling. LG posts January security bulletin ahead of Google with Android and LG-specific patches

Google has been releasing monthly security patches like clockwork ever since it revamped the Android security model in the wake of Stage Fright. T-Mobile is the first to kill remaining Galaxy Note7 devices on its network with new update

The Note7 doomsday has arrived. Samsung announced several weeks ago its intention to send out an OTA update that killed the Note7's ability to charge in the US. T-Mobile was the first carrier to schedule the update, and now it's rolling out. Any remaining Note7 devices on Tmo will soon be put out of their misery.

Canadian Galaxy Note7 devices will soon be banned from mobile networks and have both WiFi and Bluetooth disabled

The ongoing recall of Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices is serious business for the Korean company. After canceling the phone following repeated battery fires, Samsung has done everything in its power to make sure owners return or exchange the phones. When asking nicely didn't elicit the desired response, Samsung put a 60% cap on battery charge. Now, it's going to start crippling any remaining devices in Canada.

Verizon posts details on Pixel update (NMF26O) rolling out today, possibly Android 7.1.1

It's getting to be the time of the month when we watch our status bars with increasing intensity. Monthly security patches are all well and good, but this time we're also expecting Google devices (including the Pixel) to be bumped up to Android 7.1.1. Verizon has posted some details of the NMF26O update, which should start rolling out today. We believe this may be 7.1.1.
