The LG G3 On T-Mobile Is Now Getting Android 6.0 OTA

A Marshmallow update for the T-Mobile LG G3 started popping up about a week ago, but only in the LG PC Suite. Now, T-Mobile has made the Marshmallow OTA official. The rollout started yesterday, and should be done in the coming days. Not bad for a phone that's nearly two years old.

May Nexus Factory Images Are Now Available For Download

It's the first Monday of May, and that means there are some new factory images and OTAs for the Nexus line. As usual, these new firmware packages include the latest security patches from the preceding month, and possibly some bug fixes and optimizations, as well. While we'll be looking for changes in the AOSP changelog (coming soon), Google has posted the security bulletin to explain the major risks that that have been fixed in this release.

Google took special care to point out that the security bulletin has been renamed (from "Nexus" to "Android") to reflect its relationship to all devices running Android, not just those directly supported by Google.

OnHub Supports Home Automation Via IFTTT After Latest Software Update

The OnHub has been out for more than six months now, and it hasn't evolved much beyond the basic router functionality. Google promised us smart home features, and now it's starting to happen. The latest OnHub update added support for IFTTT. The channel is already live for you to start crafting automation recipes, but your OnHub needs to be on firmware version 7978.51.0, which is rolling out now.

Nextbit Announces Android 6.0.1 Update For Robin Is Rolling Out Now

Nextbit pre-announced its big April update a few weeks ago, and now it's starting to hit devices. Not only does this bump the device up to the current version of Android with new security patches, it includes tweaks to the camera that apparently make it much faster and better.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Rolling Out To AT&T's LG V10 [Update]

Perhaps the LG G5 isn't what you're looking for in a phone. No big, LG also has the V10. It's bigger, has a secondary display, and now it has Marshmallow on AT&T. The UI won't change to match the G5, but you'll get all the usual Marshmallow goodies.

[Update: M5C14J For The Pixel C] Nexus Factory Images With April's Security Updates Are Now Available

We're a few days into a new month, which means it's time for a fresh set of security updates for the Nexus family and the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Factory images are available for most of the actively maintained devices, though it looks like the Pixel C is still waiting its turn. OTAs should also begin rolling out shortly, if they haven't already.

Google has already posted the associated security bulletin for April's update.
