Given a long enough timeline, basically all carrier-branded Android phones will eventually reach the "free" price point on Amazon Wireless or Wirefly. That day has come for the Motorola DROID RAZR HD, as now both new Verizon customers and those eligible for upgrade can grab this device for a single, solitary penny. That makes it basically free.

Update 3/23/13: The deal is back yet again today.

Update 12/01/12: It's back one more time.

That headline seem oddly familiar? It should, because the same seller had an identical deal going about a week ago. And now it's back.

For today only, you can get a brand new, in box 32GB Nexus 7 for $229 shipped. That's your price out the door - unless you live in New Jersey, that is. In that case, you'll also have to fork over some sales tax. Sorry, guys.

Still, that's quite a bit cheaper than you'll get it directly from Google.

If you've nothing else to do over the weekend than sit around and play games, the Play Store has some mighty fine deals for you this Saturday morning. Here's the list of titles at the current time:

These deals are, of course, in addition to the SNK Playmore sale that started yesterday, which offers a 66% savings on the entire Metal Slug series and Blazing Star.

If you've still not tried one of the best ambient "chill-out" games out there, Osmos HD, and you don't use the Amazon App Store, now's your chance. The game's developers at Hemisphere Games have put Osmos HD on sale for just $0.99 (that's two dollars less than its normal $2.99 price) in celebration of the vernal equinox today. The sale will last for an un-quantified "few days."

For those who haven't heard of Osmos, it's an ambient game that could almost be considered a classic for the Android platform. The general idea is that you are a small blob, navigating through the "Blobiverse," soaking up smaller motes, while avoiding larger, more dangerous life forms.

If you're a new AT&T U-Verse internet customer (or considering becoming one), listen up – the service provider announced yesterday that it is now offering a selection of devices free when new customers package internet service with either U-Verse TV or Voice. Customers can choose between a Nexus 7, Kindle Fire, Sonos Play:3 (with WiFi bridge), or an Xbox 360. What's more, customers will get access to AT&T's WiFi network free of charge.

While a free Android tablet (or Play:3 or Xbox 360) may not be your primary reason in signing up for brand new lines of service, those in the market for new internet, TV, or voice service who also happen to want a new gadget (Android-powered or otherwise) may find this deal appealing, and would be well-advised to mention the offer when ordering.

There are those among us who simply need more storage. Phones like the Nexus 4, which offers only 8 or 16GB of storage just don't provide enough space for some users, and for them there are phones with microSD slots. MicroSD cards, though, aren't cheap. If you've been looking for a card with a high capacity but not a high price, Amazon has a deal for you.

The retailer is offering up the SanDisk Ultra 32GB microSDHC Class 10 UHS-1 card (with adapter) for just $19.99. In recent memory, we haven't seen a better price on this card.

image

For those confused about what makes this a great microSD card (besides its 32GB capacity), it's class 10, meaning it's guaranteed to record video at at least 10MB/s, with promised data transfer speeds of up to 30MB/s.

Update 3/18/13: Those who missed out the first forty-seven times now have another chance. Alternatively, a bunch of refurbished units popped up for $219.99. It's $10 cheaper once it's all said and done, but they are refurbs after all.

Update 2/23/13: How about a third round?

Update 2/14/13: The deal has popped back up today. Grab them while they're hot.

If you're still looking high and low for a good deal on the Nexus 7, and eBay's recent deal on refurb 16GB units didn't entice you, we've come across yet another deal: seller buydig, through eBay, is offering the 32GB Nexus 7 for $259.99.

A few days ago, GO released a 36-hour trial version of its over-the-top launcher, Next. This gives users a chance to experience all the 3D animations, flips, twist, and bends that come along with the $16 launcher, all without paying a dime. If your 36 hours are up and you simply cannot live without Next Launcher another day (unlikely), the GO Launcher team just put the full version on sale for the weekend. Instead of the normal $16, you can grab the app for $9.59. A bargain? We'll let you be the judge.

If you're just looking for a difference experience and have a ten spot burning a hole in your pocket, maybe this is the launcher for you.

In January, we saw Motorola's Droid Razr HD drop to just a penny on Amazon for customers looking to upgrade their old devices. Sadly, the deal didn't extend to new customers (though at $19.99, not much complaining could be done).

If you were hoping to hop onto the big red network with the Razr HD for a more enticing price, Amazon's got your deal – the phone is now just a penny for new customers (and additional lines). Upgrades on the other hand will cost customers $89.99, strangely enough.

Though the Razr HD launched last fall, its specs still hold up against the competition.

The Galaxy Note 10.1, old as it may be, is still the de facto standard if you're looking for an Android tablet with a built-in stylus and at least some custom software to support it. Now, it's cheaper than ever to get your hands on it with Woot offering the 32GB model with a bonus leather pouch for $409. The slate has also received some updates in some regions since it first came out, so there's never been a better time to give it a second look.

The unit is refurbished, so if you have some hesitations about that, you may want to sit this deal out.
