The Fossil Q is a little over a year old at this point, and is notable for being the first Android Wear watch from a well-known mechanical watch maker. It features a 360x326 round display (unfortunately with a flat tire), an Intel Atom CPU, IP67 water protection, and a 400mAh battery.
Now you can snag a Fossil Q Founder for $189.99 on Amazon, a decent drop from the $275 MSRP. Not a bad deal, although I'm not sure if I would get it over the Huawei Watch with its frequent price drops. Still, if you're looking for a shiny new Android Wear device from an actual watch company, this is a good option. Read More
As of late, Sony Mobile has been making some pretty decent smartphones, but it destroys any chances of them succeeding by slapping massive price tags on them. The relatively new Xperia XZ is one of these phones; it's nice, but $700 nice? Not to most. However, with this latest markdown by Amazon, you can grab an XZ with a US warranty for $649.99, $50 less than the MSRP. Read More
What's waterproof, great sounding, affordably priced, and shaped like a flying saucer? The UE Roll Bluetooth speaker, which is currently on sale at BestBuy for $45, the lowest price I've seen for it yet.
The Roll is an awesome little device, with a surprising amount of punch for its size and a form factor that makes it easy to carry in a backpack or purse. I reviewed the Roll 2 earlier this year and was very impressed. It's one of my go-to speakers any time I travel due to its impressive sound, portability, and durability.
The model on sale today is the first gen Roll, but it's nearly the same device as the Roll 2. Read More
Another week, another 10 cents deal alert. You should know the symphony by heart now, but in case you've never seen these deals before, here's the gist. Every week, one or two games or apps drop their prices on the Play Store to 10 cents, i.e. pocket change. The discount doesn't affect all countries and is usually limited to France, Italy, Spain, and Germany (EUR 0.10), Russia (RUB 10), the UK (GBP 0.10), and Australia (AUD 0.20). Sometimes, the deal is opened to more countries after a few days, including the US, Canada, India, etc... But other times, we're not that lucky.
This week's deal affects an ice hockey game named, appropriately, Ice Rage: Hockey. Read More
Cheap and good. In the tech world, finding a device with both those attributes can be difficult. The Moto G4 is one of those rare devices that is both inexpensive and satisfying. Ryan called it the best budget phone you can buy in his review and it's easy to see why – the specs of this device are top-notch for the price. Read More
Android Wear deals are pretty abundant nowadays, and the fact that many major OEMs won't be releasing any new AW-powered smartwatches this year makes them even more appealing. Now, you can pick up a leather strap-equipped Huawei Watch refurb from Newegg's eBay store for just $159.99 - that's $40 less than Newegg's usual price for the refurbished Huawei Watch, and a whopping $190 less than the Watch's MSRP.
Android Wear is in a sort of a lull now. Beside the ZenWatch 3, no new significant watches have been announced in several months (there are the specialist Nixon, Polar, Michael Kors, etc, ones, but they cater to a niche market) and Android Wear 2.0's update has been pushed over to 2017. So now is one of the best times to grab an older watch that's been on the market for a while but that's still pretty decent in terms of specs.
One such deal is an ASUS ZenWatch 2, the larger 1.63" version. This one has the Snapdragon 400, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and a speaker. Read More
I own quite a few different sets of over-ear headphones that I use for different purposes. My Bose headphones I wear when working at the computer because they are so light and comfortable that they never cause fatigue. When I travel, I bring a set of Sony wireless noise cancelling headphones to drown out the sound of the jet engines and crying children (which are usually my own). During my lunch break at work I rock my V-Moda Crossfades, because they sound awesome and look intimidating, so no one bothers me while I listen to Audible.
I also own a pair of Sony Extra Bass headphones (MDRXB950BT) and those I wear when I am craving some sick bass notes. Read More
With prices starting from $649, the new Pixel phones definitely can't be considered inexpensive, and fixing or replacing a cracked screen or rear glass panel could cost a decent bit of change. To protect your shiny new investment, why not grab a high quality case? Spigen, one of the most reputable case manufacturers, is offering its Rugged Armor case for the Pixel and Pixel XL at just $12.99 and $13.99, respectively, via eBay's Daily Deals. Read More
Neither of these deals is valid in the US, Canada, and many countries around the world. There. That should help you skip reading this post altogether. But if you're still around, then you probably live in one of the few countries where these $0.10 deals have been frequent in the past few months and you already know the drill. We're talking about 0.10 EUR in France, Italy, Spain, and Germany, GBP 0.10 in the UK, RUB 10 in Russia, and AUD 0.20 in Australia. Other countries are probably unaffected, but it won't hurt to check.
With that out of the way, the two pieces of software you can buy are SKRWT and Neo Monsters. Read More
