The announcement of Samsung's new Galaxy Tab A didn't generate much excitement because of its not-so-low-end price. However, you can now grab it more cheaply at Best Buy. You will receive $100 for trading in a working tablet so long as you also purchase the Tab A, which starts at $230. There are a few caveats to look out for, though.
Why yes, that is a whole lot of fine print. Read More

Samsung's first aluminum clad smartphone, the Galaxy Alpha, launched last fall on AT&T ushering in a new, more premium design language for Samsung. The phone was well liked by Ryan Whitwam in his review, but the big sticking point was the asking price, which initially was over $600 on AT&T. A few months have passed since the launch of the device, and the cost has fallen substantially. The price is now low enough to perhaps justify another look for those who can't bring themselves to shell out a $7-800 for the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge. Read More
If the Moto 360 price drops from two days ago aren't sweet enough for you, it looks like Best Buy is offering an in-store deal that could be even better if executed correctly.
Until April 18th, Best Buy will give in-store customers $100 off the Moto 360 when purchased with any Android phone. The key word here of course is "any." According to one tipster, this even works with inexpensive prepaid devices. Read More
I've been a long-time fan of Blu phones - they are, generally speaking, solid handsets for the money. Whether you're looking for an affordable daily driver for yourself, a backup, or a cheap alternative for someone else, I feel like Blu is a great place to start the search.
Today, Amazon is offering a good deal on one of Blu's older handsets, the Advance 4.0, for just $50 as part of its Goldbox deal. Read More
I don't know about you but I'm not used to Paypal offering stuff for free. Actually the company's policy always seems to be about nickeling and diming at every opportunity it gets, so today is your chance (maybe?) to redeem some of the monies you lost to Paypal in a currency exchange or transaction fee.
A £3 Coupon code is being offered by the company for purchases on Google Play. Read More
Google is always coming up with deals to get people to try its All Access music subscription (which now includes YouTube Music Key as well). After offering free trials when the service first launched or with every Chromecast purchase, it's now discounting a 3-months subscription to a total of $3, i.e. a mere Washington per month.
As the deal's terms state, this offer is only valid for new subscribers, but exactly who qualifies as a "new subscriber" remains up in the air. Read More
If you're in the market for a new Android tablet right now, there's a good chance that either the Nexus 9 or SHIELD Tablet is the front runner in the race for your dollars. While the N9 is a decent tablet (depending on who you ask, anyway), it's hard for any tablet to best NVIDIA's first large-screen offering - in this writer's humble opinion, it is the best Android tablet money can buy right now.
And if your money is the one buying it, you'll be happy to know that, should you choose to get it from Amazon, you'll get a $30 Amazon gift card alongside your purchase. Read More
If you're into huge phones and low costs, the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 might be the phone for you. While it's not the most powerful device on the planet, this 6.1-inch beasty is packing some pretty reasonable hardware under its hood for just $299:
What's better than cloud back-up? Local back-up, I hear you say. But how about both? If your ears perked up, this StackSocial deal could be your answer. Included is a bundle of IDrive's (a company we've already featured in a deal or two around here) new Wi-Fi 1TB Hard Drive and one year access to their 10TB IDrive Pro Personal cloud backup service, for a total of $97 instead of $475 — that's a 79% discount.
The IDrive Wi-Fi 1TB Hard Drive usually costs $99.99 by itself. It's a 256-bit AES encrypted external hard drive that plugs into Windows and Mac computers through a USB interface, but also has built-in Wi-Fi (and a 3000mAh battery) to receive backups over your local network from your computers as well as your Android or iOS devices.
