Curiosity, which we deemed "the most absurd, ambiguous, and tedious game of all time" at its launch, was a game with a simple premise: tap on your screen forever, until a huge, huge cube finally dissolves into nothing. Players were aided in this quest by other players and various powerups.

Today, it was announced that the game has ended, and the winner, who was promised a "life changing" revelation at the end of it all, has received just that.

NASA is kind of awesome. In case you live under some red rocks, the organization sent this crazy robot to Mars that sends us back high-resolution photos. The future is amazing. Of course, there's nothing the space administration loves more than curiosity (which is why they named the Mars rover after it), and it's aiming to fuel yours with this 3D model explorer.

In a somewhat odd move, instead of simply providing the 3D models themselves, the app requires you to print out some markers.

curiosity

Have you ever felt the need to endlessly tap on your screen for no real reason? Do like watching things turn from one color to another? Then we have the game for you! It's called Curiosity, and it's mind bogglingly boring. And pointless.

Here's the gist: there's a giant cube. Like, huge. And the entire world "chips away" at it little by little in real time. Why? To satisfy their own curiosity (hence the name of the "game").
