HTC EVO 3D and EVO View 4G Tablet Pages Appear On Sprint

Sprint is leaking like a sieve this week. Just yesterday a search result revealed the Nexus S 4G shortly before its release and today two registration pages popped up on the Sprint website with images of the yet to be announced HTC EVO 3D and the HTC EVO View 4G Tablet.

These pages don't reveal many details about devices themselves, simply allowing you to register your interest for future notifications. Rumours about the 1.2GHz dual-core EVO 3D and the 1.5GHz single-core EVO View 4G tablet sprang up earlier this month and with the Nexus S 4G confirmed it is likely only a matter of time before the smartphone and tablet, pictured above, are formally launched.

Details Of The Galaxy Tab 8.9 (Including "Live Panel" UI) Leaked Ahead Of CTIA

It looks like some juicy info is already coming out of CTIA, as Pocketnow managed to snap some photos of a promotional display that Samsung already has set up. The display shows many details for the yet-to-be-announced Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, answering many questions that have been buzzing around the tech blogs for weeks - and showing us the first custom UI to be laid on top of Honeycomb.

The tab will, of course, sport an 8.9" (diagonally-measured) display, attempting to strike a happy balance between the 7" and 10" slates. It will have 1280 x 800 resolution (making for a higher PPI ratio than the XOOM, which sports the same resolution on a 10.1" display) with a dual-core 1GHz processor.

Sprint's Own Search Results Confirm The Nexus S 4G Ahead Of CTIA

It's not exactly a huge surprise, but it's always nice to get a confirmation from the horse's mouth itself - the Nexus S 4G is pretty much a sure deal, now that Sprint's own search results reveal the following:

Don't bother clicking on the link anymore though because Sprint very promptly cleaned up and removed the Nexus S 4G mention - the result was there a few minutes ago, but now the search returns nothing. Since both Engadget and I saw them with our own eyes, we are willing to bet that the WiMax-enabled pure Android powerhouse is going to make an appearance in just a bit over 24 hours at CTIA in Orlando.

New Leak Details Specs Of HTC EVO 3D, EVO View 4G, Confirms Sprint-Bound Motorola XOOM

The rumor mill has been abuzz with gossip about Sprint's CTIA event lately, and if BGR's sources are to be believed, the speculation was spot-on: the conference will indeed be centered around the HTC EVO 3D and EVO View 4G, with a WiMAX version of the Motorola XOOM making an appearance as well.

EVO 3D

First up, we have the EVO 3D - HTC's first foray into three-dimensional territory - which will reportedly feature:

  • A 4.3-inch qHD (960x540) autostereoscopic 3D display
  • 4GB of RAM (I'm thinking this is a typo - even powerhouses like the XOOM and the Atrix only have 1GB of RAM)
  • 1GB of ROM
  • A 1.2GHz Qualcomm 8660 Snapdragon CPU
  • Dual 5MP rear cameras; dedicated camera button included
  • A 1.3MP front-facing camera
  • A 1730mAh battery
  • Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with HTC's Sense UI
  • Blockbuster on-demand
  • YouTube 3D

EVO View 4G

Just as expected, the EVO View 4G is almost exactly the same tablet as the (admittedly underwhelming) Flyer that HTC demoed at MWC.

New Images Surface Of The Long-Awaited HTC Pyramid

If learning that the Thunderbolt will finally be dropping on March 17 just wasn't enough for you HTC fans, some more exciting news is making its way around the web today. Rumors of a dual-core HTC device, codenamed the Pyramid, have been around since the beginning of February. Now, thanks to XDA.cn, we have some images to go with the rumors.

The site does mention some of the specs on this bad boy, like a 4.3" 540 x 960 qHD display, a 1.2GHz processor, 768MB of RAM, an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front, but it seems like some other things have gotten lost in translation.

Razor-thin 8.9" Galaxy Tab Teased Again By Samsung

We know Samsung will be unveiling a new tablet at CTIA later this month, and all signs point to their showcasing an 8.9" Galaxy Tab. The same number, 78910, which was displayed in a promo last week, has appeared again on a new image posted on the manufacturer's Facebook page. It will almost certainly be measured at 8.9" because Samsung debuted the first major Android tab at 7" (the original Galaxy Tab), and has announced a 10.1" model (the Galaxy Tab 10.1) - leaving 8.9" as the likely proportion of the upcoming slate.

Asking us again "What's your Tab life?", the visual shows an extreme closeup of a tablet with a cross-hatched texture that looks quite thin.

[Updated: Now With EVO View 4G Trademark Filing] Sprint's Own Website All But Confirms The Rumored Nexus S 4G, EVO 3D, And EVO View Devices

Sprint has been mum about its 2011 lineup throughout this whole year until yesterday, when we finally got a break and caught wind of not 1 but 3 upcoming Sprint Android devices - the Nexus S 4G, the EVO 3D, and the EVO View tablet. The rumors were dropped to both Engadget and AndroidAndMe by an anonymous tipster, but both sites seemed confident in their sources, meaning it wasn't the first time the same credible tipster provided reliable information.

If you are sensitive to unconfirmed rumors and have trouble believing anonymous tipsters, even you will be pleased with what these pretty darn good hints planted around Sprint's own website.

[Rumor] EVO 3D, EVO View Tablet, And Nexus S 4G To Be Revealed By Sprint At CTIA?

Earlier this week, Sprint sent out an invitation to a special release event at the CTIA WIRELESS 2011 conference later this month. After a less than amazing showing at CES, and the "innovative" move they made with the Echo, Sprint is due for a highly anticipated device to come to their users. Thanks to an anonymous tip received by Engadget (though in no way confirmed or proved credible), you may now start anticipating.

Nexus S 4G

Last year, after flirting with the idea of carrying the first "Google phone", Sprint dumped the Nexus One and went with the EVO 4G.

Kyocera Wants Back Into The Smartphone Business - Announces Android Powered Zio M6000, Set For Q2 '10

Fresh off the press, i.e. the first day of the CTIA Wireless 2010 trade show, Kyocera announced its return into the smartphone business with, as you already guessed, a new Android device - the Zio M6000.

Here are the specs at a glance:

  • 3.5" WVGA screen, motion-enhanced (huh?)
  • 3.2MP camera (meh)
  • trackball
  • 256MB internal memory (is this storage or RAM?)
  • virtual keyboard
  • CDMA
  • ambient light sensor, accelerometer, WiFi, and all the standard Android business

No word on the CPU type and frequency, included memory card size, supported carriers (though it was clarified to be CDMA. Verizon? Sprint?), or the initial Android version.
