It's well into the evening now for most of the US, so presumably the bloody melee that is retail Black Friday sales is mostly over. If you've set your broken bones and patched up your bruises and you're still itching for some deals, the big box online stores are still offering discounts on MicroSD card storage, plus SanDisk's Wi-Fi-powered flash storage devices. Let's break it down by retailer, shall we? Read More
If you buy a lot of content from Google Play, here's a chance to save a little scratch. Costco is offering a multi-pack of Google Play gift cards with a nice discount. The three cards totaling $60 can be yours for just $48.
The LG G2 doesn't impress us all that much, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and some of you are quite attracted to the powerful flagship device LG has thrown together. If you've already made up your mind and our review has done little to dissuade you, then here's a deal that could save you $50. Amazon has the G2 available for just $149. This price applies to both new customers and those upgrading to a new device.
Not to be outdone, Costco is also offering the G2 at the same price. Customers can pick one up online for both new accounts and upgrades as well. Read More
Costco, promising to take customers "beyond the warehouse walls with the ease of [their] smartphone," released an official Costco Wholesale app to the Play Store recently.
The app, created by one of the most popular (and largest) wholesalers in America, allows users to do much of what they could do in a physical Costco location, or shopping online – users can shop Costco.com's "unique, expanded" collection, locate the nearest Costco location, grab online and in-store coupons, refill prescriptions, read "The Costco Connection," choose business or home delivery options, and take note of what you need to buy with a handy built-in notepad. Wow, this just might be the best deal we've posted in a while. Unfortunately, we're not 100% certain on the price, because the images we were tipped to don't exactly specify one. Still, based on the $300 mark we've been hearing, and Droid-forums' claim that their source says that's the number, we're starting to feel pretty confident in that figure.
If you look on the left hand side of that image, in the red area, you can see the text "Accessories Bonus Pack / $159.97 Retail Value / Includes Standard Dock / Vehicle Navigator Dock / Battery Dock and / Extra Battery." That's a lot of kit to bundle with a phone for just $300 on a new 2-year agreement! Read More
Great news for those of you holding out for that WiFi-only XOOM of your dreams: Costco has moved up its availability date for the LTE-less version of the tablet from April 1 to this coming Sunday, March 27. So if you walk into your local Costco this weekend, presumably the WiFi XOOM will be there to greet you for the reasonable price of $599.99.
But, if you order online, you'll get a couple of perks (even if it does mean you won't be getting your XOOM on Sunday). Namely, $10 off ($589.99), a free gel skin case, and free shipping. If you can't wait, you can pay $10 more at your brick and mortar location this weekend and let your XOOM go case-less. Read More
Now that we know that the Wi-Fi-only model of the Motorola XOOM is just around the corner (launching March 27 to be exact) perhaps you are looking for the best deal on the tablet. Costco's website may be the place to look, as they are offering not only a $10 discount (from the listed $600 price tag) but they are also throwing in a free gel case and shipping it to you for free. Yes, all of that can be yours for a mere $589.99 and they are taking pre-orders now. The units won't be shipping until April 1 though, which is five days after the tablet is released everywhere else. Even though we thought Costco would be selling the Motorola Atrix 4G for AT&T for $149.99, the mega-warehouse decided to sweeten the deal a bit and dropped the price to $119.99 on a 2-year contract (this includes customers upgrading their existing AT&T phones too).
And that's not all - according to our tipster, whose track record has so far been spotless, Costco will be throwing in a free accessory bundle consisting of a case, a car charger, and a wired earpiece. After about $15 in taxes, this deal is just as hot, if not hotter, than Amazon's, but benefits from Costco's top notch customer service and warranty. Read More
Though we still couldn't reliably confirm a similar Galaxy Tab deal at Best Buy, here's a legitimate sale - Costco is selling Samsung's seven-inch tablet for just $499.99. Customers purchasing the device from Costco will also have to pay an activation fee (refundable with a mail-in-rebate) and sign up for at least one month of data from Verizon, who offers the following data plans for the Galaxy Tab:
- $20/month for 1GB of data
- $35/month for 3GB of data
- $50/month for 5GB of data
- $80/month for 10GB of data
The reduction in price is great for customers who are looking to get a taste of the Android OS in a tablet form factor. Read More
It's certainly a good time to be in the market for a new flagship Android device, isn't it? Amazon is selling the Motorola Droid 2 for just $.01, and the HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G for a cool $100. Lately, Amazon and Costco have been in a price war over the T-Mobile G2; Costco struck first, dropping the upgrade price to just $100 - to which Amazon replied by dropping the new contract price to $80. Now Costco has shot back by lowering their own new contract price to just $50 without any rebate.
Unfortunately, the upgrade and add-a-line prices are still $100 after $50 MIR. Read More
