Samsung's call for amateur promotional Galaxy Tab 10.1 videos attracted many entries so far, most of which have already been posted by the company on YouTube. The winner is still MIA, but if the 4th place that you can see below is all the way down at 4th place, I am definitely looking forward to #1 (though I can't agree with the choices for #2 and #3).

Well done, Sergio A. M., wherever you are. You should have at least been at #2.

Update 8/5/11: The #1 video was posted, and in my opinion, it's not even close to #4 above.

Another week, another great giveaway - our 4th giant giveaway, featuring the 32GB Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, has beat all past records yet again, with over 7,000 entries via Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. Most people entered using Facebook this time around, followed closely by Google+, and then Twitter. As we always do, we tried to make the giveaway accessible to as many countries all over the world as we could, adding a few more to our regular list. Here Is The Winner (And Runner-Ups) Of The Creative XOOM/Otterbox Defender Design Contest

A bit over a week ago, we decided to do something different compared to our regular giveaways and launched a creative contest with the Otterbox Defender case for the XOOM tablet as the grand prize. In order to win, all you had to do was produce the best combination of a XOOM and a reference to Android Police in one picture.

Why do you think developers should build their apps with Adobe AIR instead of using a conventional approach?

I've long thought AIR made sense as a mobile development platform due to its ease of development and cross-platform potential. I'd actually hoped the original iPhone devkit would be AIR, but that would have wrestled away more control than Apple is willing to give.

In the past few months, we have been giving away various devices in what I dubbed the "Giant Giveaway" series. Despite having given away 3 tablets (the XOOM, the G-Slate, and the Tab 10.1) already, we're not planning on slowing down; in fact, we're going to accelerate the giveaway process.
