CloudMagic is one of several third-party email clients that can manage many accounts across different providers. Even though the Android Gmail app has had the option to add non-Gmail accounts for a while, CloudMagic remains many users' favorite way of accessing their email. It offers lots of benefits, like creating tasks out of emails (in Wunderlist, Todoist, Trello, Asana, etc...), passcode lock, and easy file attachment from Dropbox, iCloud Drive, and other storage providers.
Now CloudMagic is ready to graduate beyond email. The app has added a Calendar section, accessible from the side menu, that integrates your Gmail, Google Apps, and Exchange calendars. Read More
The CloudMagic Android app is capable of managing multiple email accounts from a single location, and by indexing your messages on its servers, it can provide significantly faster search results than much of the competition. The experience is free, but now the company has unveiled how it plans to make money going forward—by encouraging power users to sign up for a pro account.
Premium plans unlock features that will not be provided in the free version, such as support for unlimited accounts, syncing preferences across devices, downloading attachments in the background, and remotely wiping your data.
CloudMagic has priced its pro plan at $4.99 a month, but as usual, people who are looking for a longer commitment can save $15 over the course of a year by spending $44.99 upfront instead. Read More
CloudMagic was updated with Android Wear support just as the first watches were going home with I/O attendees. That was still v1, but now we're making the jump to the v5.0 branch, which seems a little dramatic. In fairness, there's a lot of new stuff.
CloudMagic isn't a new app, but people are constantly on the lookout for an alternative to default Gmail app that, for various reasons, doesn't meet their needs. If you personally need an email client that can support multiple accounts spread across different sites, something with lightning fast search, and something that doesn't make your eyes bleed, CloudMagic may just be the free app you've been looking for.
First, Some Background
CloudMagic comes to us from a developer of the same name, the folks who previously offered a zippy way to search through Gmail, Twitter, Exchange, Dropbox, and many other accounts. That app has since been removed, but you can check out Ryan's review of CloudMagic from a few years ago for an in-depth look. Read More
CloudMagic, the supersearch service that crawls through your Gmail, GDocs, GCal, Contacts, Twitter, Office365, and Exchange accounts just got a whole lot more powerful. It was bumped up to version 2.1 in the Play Store, which brings integration with even more services, including Facebook, Dropbox, Evernote, Box,
iCloud, AOL, mail.com, and GMX. That's a whole lotta services.
That's not all v2.1 is good for, either: the app has been completely redesigned to shed the old-school Google Search look and to make it more ICS/JB friendly. It looks quite nice.
But wait, there's more!
This update also brings a new "snapshot view" that gives you a glimpse of all your data, rich previews, more actions, and the ability to forward e-mails, as well as view attachments. Read More
