[Updated] Qualcomm's Snapdragon GameCommand Released To The Android Market A Few Days Early

Adreno Graphics, a division within Qualcomm, has just released Snapdragon GameCommand, a new game management and discovery app. Originally, GameCommand was supposed to be released on January 10th at CES, but it looks like someone pulled the trigger early.

Update by Artem: This app is much like NVIDIA's Tegra Zone, and while the content it features isn't exclusive to Snapdragons, it looks like it does require a device with one. I tried to install the app on an Exynos-powered SGSII, and it kicked me out shortly after I started it.

I would like to point out that GameCommand seems to have serious compatibility issues with operating system versions, countries, and even devices that do have Snapdragons.

Sony Ericsson 'Nozomi' Smiles For The Camera Ahead Of CES, Proves What It's Made Of With Benchmarks

There have been rumors of the Sony Ericsson "Nozomi" for the past few weeks, but today IT Pro Portal landed some exclusive snapshots of the device. The phone is said to have a 1280x720 HD display, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, a massive 12MP camera, and is running Android 2.3.7.

The leaker also took the time to grab some screenshots of Quadrant's System Information screen, along with a quite impressive benchmark.

To avoid confusion: Quadrant is not optimized for dual-core CPUs. Therefore, it doesn't recognize that a second core even exits, which is why is shows "Cores: 1" in the system information.

Corning To Showcase Gorilla Glass 2 At CES, Exhibit New Applications For The Next Generation Of Damage-Resistant Glass

It seems that Corning is gearing up for an exciting CES this year (which is just a few short days from beginning), publishing a news release earlier today which details the glass giant's plans for the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow.

Corning's most significant offering at CES this month will be the unveiling of Gorilla Glass 2. The latest generation of Corning's hugely popular damage-resistant glass is said to deliver higher functionality in thinner devices, and "enable broader touch technology penetration," according to James Steiner, Senior VP and General Manager of Corning Specialty Materials. Corning promises to reveal more details in an announcement set for January 9th.

LG Announces Smart TV With Google TV, Featuring LG's Cinema 3D - To Be Shown At CES

Well, that was quick. Shortly after new Google TV partners were announced, LG has announced one of their Android-powered offerings: the LG Smart TV with Google TV. Details are scant at this point, as the device won't be demonstrated until CES, but we do know that it will launch in two series at some point this year. Both will feature LG's Cinema 3D displays, which do not require the expensive shuttering glasses to work, and both will come bundled with remote with the Magic Remote Qwerty - unsurprisingly, a QWERTY version of their Magic Remote.

More information will arise once CES rolls around, but with many Google TV-powered devices about to be announced, it likely won't stick out of the crowd.

Google Announces New Google TV Partners, Hardware To Be Revealed At CES

Google TV's debut device, the Logitech Revue, may have been a commercial failure, but Google isn't showing any signs of giving up on the platform. We've already seen the Revue receive the Honeycomb 3.1 update, bringing the all-important Market access to the platform, and now Google has announced a host of Google TV partners who plan to unveil hardware at CES next week:

MediaTek
Samsung
Sony
Vizio

Although they didn't release many specific details, it seems that many of these new Google TV-powered devices will actually be TVs as opposed to separate boxes - LG even plans to release an entire of line of TVs, powered by their own L9 chipset.

[Update: It's Gone] Sprint Galaxy Nexus (LTE) Shows Up In Ad On CNET, Possibly Blows Sprint's Biggest CES Announcement

Update: The ad has been removed from CNET, but we've retained a couple images, below. Sounds like someone finally figured out the rather embarrassingly bad mistake they just made.

Well, it looks like someone doing ad-serving for CNET pulled the trigger a little early. If you head over to this CNET page (it may be taken down soon, in fact, it almost certainly will) you'll see an ad for the Sprint Galaxy Nexus, the first 4G LTE phone to hit Sprint's upcoming LTE network. Whoops. It looks 100% legit, and it looks like Sprint is planning on getting it out pretty quick judging by the advertisement:

The people with the big leather chairs and power-ties at Sprint are likely going to be upset about this.

Pantech Element 'Waterproof' Tablet Outed Before CES, Coming To AT&T On January 8th For $299 With Two-Year Agreement

The carrier-connected Honeycomb tablet arena hasn't been very successful up to this point, mostly due to the outrageous prices that the units have been showing up with -- we've yet to see one for less than $400. Enter the Pantech Element, a "waterproof" tablet that looks to change the game with its sub-$300 price tag.

The Element is an 8-inch Honeycomb-powered tablet that runs on AT&T's LTE network, packing a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of storage, 5MP rear shooter, and 2MP front camera. It is also one of the first tablets to claim waterproof status. Except it's really not waterproof - it's more splash proof, assuming all the ports are closed up properly.
