Not all games need to rely on high-resolution textures, fancy lighting effects, and 3D open world play. No, sometimes you just want a clean little game with interesting puzzles to keep you occupied. Mosaique fits the bill with its unique take on mobile gaming. Rather than pile on endless levels, this title only has seven of them. Each time you play, the challenge is to make it through all seven as efficiently as possible. It only takes a few minutes to play a round, but you can put some real thought into it.

The game board in Mosaique is populated by some number of colored squares.

Yeah, high-resolution textures, 3D shaders, dynamic lighting, and all sorts of other stuff are standard in mobile games these days. Infinite is a little bit different, though. This title invites you to journey through a geometric galaxy and build solar systems with dead-simple controls.

Infinite is an arcade-style game with a little dash of physics and a smidgen of style. You have to pick up bits of matter floating around the various stars in your galaxy to build up enough mass to drop a planet. All you have top do is tap and hold to move the matter collector farther out.

It's surprisingly hard to make a mobile game, or at least, a mobile game that's worth playing. Mobile developers are still in their infancy, at least compared with their console and PC counterparts. So when someone manages to release a fun, polished game that works well on smartphones and avoids some of the more glaring pitfalls of the platform, we sit up and take notice. Such is the case with Roller Rally: Snake Pass, an Android port of a popular iOS title from MilkyTea.

The premise of Roller Rally is simple. Four animals are in a roller-skating race down a mountain, and the first one across the finish line wins.

You may remember a wonderful little free physics game called Rocket Bunnies from a while back. Similarly, there was a cool RPG known as Heroes Call that came out not too long ago. The developer behind both these games is Defiant Development, and now they've brought the popular iOS game Ski Safari to Android.

In Ski Safari, you play the roll of Sven, who finds himself in the unenviable position of skiing down a hillside to keep ahead of an avalanche. There's a fair bit of action here as you recruit hapless animals along the slopes to help you stay ahead of the unstoppable wall of snow.
