Update: it looks like the floodgates have opened. A Facebook user showed full photos of the new One, including the back of a Verizon retail box confirming a Snapdragon 801 processor, MicroSD card slot, 2GB of RAM, and a nanoSIM tray.

The original Wind-Up Knight was an endearing little platfomer, and it's looking like the sequel is just as cute and includes some new gameplay mechanics. This game has launched in Canada first, with access expanding to other countries soon. Most of you will have to make do with the trailer for now.

The list of cell phone carriers supporting bill payments for Google Play Store purchases is slowly (sloooooowly) growing. Today Google Play's official support page added Bell in Canada and Orange in Spain to the full list, bringing the number of compatible carriers in both nations to two. Previously only Rogers/Fido was supported in Canada and Movistar was supported in Spain.

This news might not be a surprise to some Bell customers - Canadian gadget site MobileSyrup reports that the carrier confirmed Google Play billing exactly one month ago, but for some reason it hasn't been added to Google's support page until now.

Compared to 7 or 8 inches, 10 may seem like a lot to work with. But you know what? Boom, here's 12. These extra 2 inches come to us courtesy of Samsung. The company unveiled the new Galaxy Pro series at this year's CES, and the devices have gradually percolated to consumers throughout the world since. Today Samsung has shared pricing and availability information for Canada. The Galaxy PRO devices will roll out to various retailers starting now until the end of March.

AT&T-Thumb

Today AT&T announced an agreement with Canadian wireless carrier Rogers that will enable its customers to have access to 4G LTE data speeds even when on the northern side of the border. This arrangement makes AT&T the first American carrier to offer international LTE roaming, but before some of you get too excited, know that this luxury still doesn't come cheaply.

AT&T customers can roam internationally by selecting a Data Global Add-On package, the same ones needed to access 3G.

As a tech addict who lives in a remote area, Amazon Prime is a godsend for me: getting stuff delivered to my door quickly when it would otherwise necessitate a three hour round trip is well worth the nominal fee. Amazon hopes you'll agree, and to that end they've now included the ability to sign up for an Amazon Prime free trial right in the official Amazon app.

If you qualify for Prime (and just about everybody does), you can sign up for a 30-day trial within the app itself.

Google still hasn't said anything official, but the Nexus 5 is clearly ready for launch. Canadian carrier Wind Mobile has just put up its Nexus 5 pre-registration page on Facebook so interested parties can get on the list to be notified (at some point). Along with the form, we get a nice spec list, which confirms a few things about this device.

It's football time in America, and you know what that means: a mad rush to get all the infrastructure updated in time for opening day. The official NFL Mobile app is getting its first major update since the publisher was switched back in August. A nice list of new features is included, most notably the addition of our neighbors to the north in Canada. Everyone in Canada should be able to access the app with its scores and news, but only Bell Mobile TV subscribers will be able to watch live games.

2013Nexus7-Thumb

The new Nexus 7 is a substantial upgrade over last year's model, as Google has managed to fit a 1080p resolution into the same 7-inch screen without destroying performance or battery life. This year's offering makes the leap to a new Qualcomm S4 Pro N7 processor, comes with a rear-facing camera, and has the latest version of Android available. What could make it any better? Wider distribution. That's why the tablet is now available for purchase in Canada directly from Google Play.
