Popular grocery shopping list Out of Milk has been sold, and its new owner wants to terminate all contracts with users outside of the US and Canada. That's a shame — from all I hear, Out of Milk is a great service millions of people love to use. But for many, this news means it's time to move on, and even if you reside in the US or Canada, you might be wary about the future of the app. That's where my favorite grocery shopping app could come in, created by a team of Swiss and German developers — Bring.

Google Assistant's ability to manage lists has been... less than ideal. When Assistant first went live in 2016, it could add items to a shopping list, which then appeared in Google Keep. That was a nice start, but then Google decided to move the shopping list to the Home app with integration for Google Express (now Google Shopping). At long last, Assistant is finally receiving first-class support for notes and lists... maybe. Fingers crossed.

One of the biggest issues my wife and I have is remembering what to get at the grocery store. We've tried shared spreadsheets, various list applications, and jotting stuff down on paper. Nothing sticks. We either forget to do it or just don't want to deal with hassle (thus is the case with most apps). Bring! may change that. Hopefully, anyway.
