Verizon may have just gotten the HTC One, but it's hard to call it a "new" phone. Other carriers have been selling the aluminum slab for a few months now. It's getting to the point where that on-contract price is downright reasonable. For example, right now the Verizon HTC One is $49.99 on both Amazon and Best Buy.
You can get this deal whether you're a new customer or you're upgrading an existing line. Read More
Get this - Best Buy is offering up to $262.50 for Nexus 4 trade-ins. This offer is valid regardless of whether you're handing over the 8GB or the 16GB model. As long as your device is in relatively good condition and you have the necessary peripherals, you're good to go. Just move quickly. Considering the Nexus 4's $100 price drop last month, this probably won't go on for long.
Unsurprisingly, how much you get depends on the condition of your device. Read More
Smartphones and tablets are phenomenal portable media devices, especially if you've plugged in a good pair of headphones. Relying on the built-in speakers might get by in a pinch, but they're not going to single-handedly provide background music for a party without a little bit of help. If you're in that situation, now might be a good time to check out the online clearance section of Best Buy, where we've found two speakers that have been drastically reduced in price: the Philips Fidelio AS111/37 speaker dock and the Shoqbox SB7200 portable Bluetooth speaker. If you missed out on Woot.com's Sony Internet Player deal last week, Best Buy's Deal of the Day has something that will make you smile. The NSZ-GS7 is again on sale for 50% off, bringing the price down to a more affordable $99.99. And unlike the Woot.com deal, this one comes with free shipping. Just take action before today is over - you wouldn't want to miss out on this deal a second time. Read More
If you've ordered the 2013 Nexus 7 model from Best Buy, check your email - at least one Android Police staff member has received confirmation that the new tablet is ready for in-store pickup. Twitter was alight last night and this morning with some retail customers who managed to snag one off the shelves as well. Both 16GB and 32GB models are apparently being sold freely at at least some brick-and-mortar locations, at the standard $229 and $269 prices. Read More
As previously leaked, Verizon has a new mahogany hue for its Samsung Galaxy S4, and it's also showing up on Best Buy's site. The 16GB brown version is now available online only, at the same $199 on-contract and $649 off-contract prices as the black and white versions. But wait, those preview shots on the Verizon home page look a little... off.
Compare the brown in the screenshot above to the much more subtle brown in the Evleaks press shot, to say nothing of the fact that only the front of the device is actually brown. Read More
It's been less than a day since Google unveiled the Chromecast, and after both virtual and physical dashes to the store, it's worth pausing to see how the dust has settled. Many of us couldn't help ourselves and may have accidentally bought two as impulse buys, but there are bound to be some of you who needed a bit more time to come to a decision. Here's how the landscape looks. Read More
If you're looking for yet another place to get your new $35 Chromecast, give your local Best Buy a ring. At least one lucky fellow was able to successfully buy the device from a Best Buy in South Carolina. Calls placed to several stores would indicate that's not the only one. However, most stores are expecting stock to arrive in the next day or two.
Full-size Best Buy stores are getting 20-30 Chromecasts in the first batch – high-traffic stores may get an extra allotment. Read More
