Marvel's Avengers: Deluxe Edition is available on Stadia right now
$20 extra for early access and some costumes
Crystal Dynamics's superhero action-adventure title Marvel's Avengers is available on Stadia right now. Well, the Deluxe Edition is, at least — it'll run you $79.99. Your extra 20 bucks gets you access to the game several days early, plus a fancy black-and-gold costume for each playable hero. The standard edition will be available Friday, September 4.
While not every major upcoming game will be arriving on Google's Stadia streaming platform, quite a few of them will be — including Marvel's Avengers, a title being developed by Crystal Dynamics (same folks behind the Tomb Raider trilogy) and published by Square Enix. However, you'll have to wait a little longer to try out the game, as it has been delayed by a few months.
Disney+ is scheduled to be released in the US today at 3 am PST, and its apps are already live on almost any platform you could think of. For many, it's even possible to log in right now, so if you're up for a late-night/early-morning streaming session, you can try your luck by downloading or accessing the service on a device of your choice.
Superhero flicks are all the rage these days — at least, the Marvel ones — and as part of Amazon's early Prime Day festivities, you can $2 rentals for most of the action-filled catalog. That includes Infinity War, and Spider-Man Homecoming, just in case you missed it. $2 also makes this a bit cheaper than the $3-4 cost for the same rentals over on Google Play Movies. Plus, with the recent changes to Amazon Prime Video, you can watch these on your Chromecast, too.19 of the franchise's 23 flicks appear to be included (Iron Man 2 is even free with Prime). The villain decimated half of the universe's population in one go at the end of Infinity War, and to say I'm not a fan is an understatement. But the ultimate fan of Marvel's movies would definitely use the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition, with a unique gold-on-red color scheme to match the suit. And just in case people don't get the hint, it's also got a huge Iron Man helmet decal on the back and a custom Avengers software theme.

In fact, according to Matt Demers' review, it's an Infinity Blade ripoff that only true believers will really enjoy. But for those who finish all their comic reading on Tuesday and are looking for anything more to scratch that superhero itch for the rest of the week, there's a big update to the game. Captain America is now available as the second playable character.

It's been a couple months in coming, but the first in an episodic series of Avengers games is live on the Play Store now. In case you've forgotten, this edition features the Hulk, leading the effort to round up a number of supervillains that escaped during a breakout of The Vault. To celebrate the launch, Marvel and NVIDIA are offering the game for a special promo price of $4.99 (normally $6.99).
With every .5 billion franchise, there's bound to be a slew of games, merchandise, and paraphernalia to go along with it. Today's latest entry is Marvel: War of Heroes, a digital "card" game wherein you play an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. assembling a crack team of superheroes to save the world's supply of ISO-8 from supervillains. Of course, we use the word "card" here rather loosely as anyone who's played a card game before, digital or otherwise, is likely to be a little flummoxed by how this game works.

It's difficult to put out a .5 billion movie and not expect a few major product tie-ins. Marvel, today, "released" (we'll get to that in a bit) a new game for Android called "Avengers Initiative." This $7 app stars the Hulk, as the green loose cannon battles some of his most notorious villains, including Wendigo, the Abomination, and even the infamous Skrulls. The game will only be available for select Android devices to start with.
Chances are, most of you only ever hear about Epix in an article discussing streaming rights (like this one). Epix is an online streaming video service a la Netflix that you can only get access to if you have a cable bundle that includes the site. Or, you know, if you have Netflix. For now anyway. The real value of Epix is the stable of movie rights it brings to the table, and now the joint venture is sharing its media library with Amazon Instant Video for all of the online retail giant's Prime customers.
