Avast's Android offering has been a top-notch product since it was released, and the company has put in a lot of hard work to continuously make it better since then. Recently, it launched some Premium features for its Mobile Security app, which offer some incredible functionality for only two bucks a month ($15 if you pay for a full year). Before we get into our newest Mega Giveaway with avast!, let's take a closer look at some of the features unlocked in Mobile Security Premium.
When it comes to mobile security, we readily recommend Avast's option. Not only does it offer fantastic malware protection, but the built-in Anti-Theft is one of the best tools you can have installed should your device ever get lost or stolen. Today, the company is taking advantage of Google+ Community beta testing with Mobile Security, Anti-Theft, and a new product called Backup.
The beta testing period will only last for a week, during which time the company is inviting advanced users to give this new trio a shot and provide feedback before they become available to everyone.
We've long been fans of avast! around here. From the antivirus functionality itself to the brilliant anti-theft features with root support, it's one of the absolute best security apps on the Store today – and it keeps getting better. Take the most recent update, for example.
At this point, avast! is already working with a great app, so the most recent additions have been about streamlining. Simplifying. Taking the good and making it great.
Thanks to its amazing anti-theft features – which are powered by what used to be Theft Aware – avast! has long been one of our favorite mobile security apps. That's not to say its malware prevention abilities aren't also a highlight of the application, because they are – in fact, it's an all around good package. And thanks to a new update that hit the Play Store just a bit ago, it's just got better.
Several weeks ago, avast! released a beta version of its mobile security and anti-theft apps (the latter of which used to be Theft Aware) that brought with it a slew of new features, as well as an all-new web portal. Those new features have now left the beta stages and the final release of version 2 is available in the Play Store.
This is a pretty major overhaul for what I believe was already among the best anti-theft/anti-virus solutions for Android.
