At this year's IFA, Asus has removed the layer of secrecy surrounding its upcoming Android Wear-powered ZenWatch. Unlike the Moto 360 or the LG G Watch R, Asus is not trying to wow us here with a circular display. The ZenWatch distinguishes itself by fitting a square screen behind a layer of curved glass and a hardware design that strives to be more than a plastic wrist computer. The watch sports a brown leather strap that's intended to add to its appeal. Read More
IFA will take place early next month in Berlin, and a number of companies are tripping over themselves to drum up hype for their upcoming Android Wear devices. LG has teased the G Watch R, a round evolution of its first attempt from earlier this summer, a few times now. For its part, Asus also wants consumers to know that it has something on the way. Yet this competitor doesn't appear to have something circular on its mind. Read More
Technically, Asus only posted a partial silhouette, but that looks like a watch, right? It's not a phone or a tablet, so that really just leaves a smartwatch, which is all the rage right now. Also "Time has been transformed..."
The Asus Transformer Pad TF701T has hit a new low, but it this case, that's a good thing. Shoppers can now find this 10-inch tablet on Amazon marked down to a very reasonable $279.99. If you act quick, you can get a nice deal on an tablet from Newegg, which is offering 10% off a bunch of Android slates. It's not clear how many devices are included, but the new Shield Tablet is one of them (that's $30 off). This deal ends tonight—July 31st. Asus is still releasing Transformer tablets on a regular basis, but most of them are mid-range. The premium device in the Transformer family is still the TF701T, and it's getting an update to Android 4.4.2 right now. The OTA is happening, but it looks like a slow staged rollout.
The last time that the Padfone 2 got a major version update was way back in December 2012, for Jelly Bean 4.1. Yeah, you read that right. Today ASUS is updating its second phone-tablet-combo-thingy all the way to KitKat, a move that will surely please at least some of the users who haven't upgraded to one of the newer models. Are you ready for some sketchy ASUS English translations? Of course you are. Read More

When Asus announces stuff, it really announces stuff. That weird Turducken Transformer thing from earlier is far from the only thing the Tiawanese OEM has revealed at Computex. There are also new Transformer Pads, MeMO Pads, and an updated line of Fonepads – you get one guess what they do.
