You know what you need on a Tuesday morning? Some news about three of the most anticipated things coming out before the end of the year all wrapped into one video: the ASUS Transformer Prime, the Tegra 3 processor, and Ice Cream Sandwich.

After the release of the Ice Cream Sandwich source code, the guys at NVIDIA got together with the Prime crew from ASUS to get a build working on the Prime as quickly as possible.

It looks like those of us who are getting amped up for the release of ASUS' Eee Pad Transformer Prime have one more thing to look forward to – an awesome magnetic folding cover  which will attach to the Prime's aluminum frame and fold up to hold the tablet in portrait or landscape orientation, at a variety of angles.

This cover is, no doubt, inspired by the popular cover Apple introduced with the iPad 2, but puts an interesting twist on the concept, adding a few folds, and giving the case the overall appearance of an origami sculpture.

If there's one tablet that has been on the mind of Android fans all over, it's the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime (which, from this point forward, will be know as either the Transformer Prime or simply "Prime" because the full name is just too bloody long). ASUS just unveiled the world's first quad-core Tegra 3 device, and it is a beast. It was originally scheduled to be shown off on November 9th, but as you may have heard, has been delayed until early December.

After your (possibly over-) enthusiastic response (I kid, I kid; we appreciate your high spirits) to our last giveaway, we decided it would only be appropriate to allow two more readers the chance to win an ASUS Eee Pad Slider. That's right: NVIDIA, in its seemingly infinite awesomeness, has once again been generous enough to sponsor a giveaway of not one, but two 16GB white ASUS Eee Pad Sliders, both powered by a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor and fueled by a wide variety of games from the Tegra Zone.

Can you believe we and NVIDIA have already conducted this many giveaways? It seems like just yesterday we were giving away the Motorola XOOM, and...

Never mind; let's cut to the chase: this time around NVIDIA has been generous enough to sponsor a giveaway of not one, but two white 16GB ASUS Eee Pad Sliders powered by the Tegra 2 processor and fueled by a wide range of available games from the Tegra Zone.

The super sleek new Transformer Prime from ASUS is going to be the Android tablet in which all subsequent tablets are measured by -- and its teaser page just went live. It doesn't give any info that we didn't know or any new images of the device, but it did successfully increase my desire for this device by at least ten-fold, which, considering how badly I wanted to get this thing in my hands in the first place, is quite a lot.

ASUS has been hard at work on the successor to the company's first foray into the Android tablet market, the ASUS Transformer.

Transformer Prime

The Transformer's yet-to-be-officially-named sequel (Update: The name turned out to be... Transformer Prime) was shown off today by ASUS chairman Johnny Shih - and boy, is this thing thin. ASUS's next Android tablet will be a mere 8.3mm in profile and stick with the 10.1-inch screen form factor.

The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is, if nothing else, a unique breed of tablet, conveniently offering the functionality of a netbook at your whim, with the addition of a handy keyboard dock. It is, no doubt, a capable piece of hardware, but (in my opinion) it seems a bit awkward and bulky. Of course, upon its release, speculation about its successor began almost immediately. Several months later, ASUS has released a teaser video that gives us a few hints about the next Transformer.
